1ºThe land of Canaan which is Israel today is the Promised Land, which God promised to Abraham and commanded Joshua to conquer and drive-out the pagan nations. YAHWEH fought for his chosen people to show the whole world who is the one true God. Therefore, it is the Biblical homeland of the Jews. So, if God, the Creator of the Universe, gave that land to the Jews it is theirs forever and that is beyond any contestation. The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.
“I will make you into a great nation,
and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 12:1-3)
