1ºI have an idea! Let's put race aside, at least try to forget about it and treat everybody the same. People are people,we're all human beings with one common denominator living on earth, so stop the discriminations!!. No one is above the law, not cops nor criminals etc. Stop the injustices, the brutality, the killing in general, everybody. That's why trials are there for. We as a society are letting evil takes us over and look at where we are now and what will to come if we don't do something about it, change the mindset, the narrative.This way isn't working for nobody, the divisiveness, the hatred. Love knows no color, unity, togetherness, common ground are what we need and more. However, we must be willing to put in the work, because there's a lot to be done. I'm praying for peace all l can say, which we're so desperately need right now.
2º433 people per year there are 253 cities in the United States with population over 100,000 so that number breaks down to that’s 1.7 people per city and most of those died in custody from other causes other than what happened to them while they were in custody i.e. overdoses and suicides. Of course granted you have to take into account that some of those probably did happen in cities of less than 100,000 population which means the number is considerably lower than 1.7 per city. Anyway you calculated that was is an extremely low number. Thanks for the article CNN!

He should be more outspoken about Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s encouragement of discrimination and violence against Muslims, even if India is an important ally. He should reembrace the U.N. Human Rights Council, even though it criticizes Israeli abuses in Occupied Palestinian Territory. He should void Trump’s sanctions on the International Criminal Court—an affront to the rule of law—regardless of the prosecutor’s steps to investigate unprosecuted U.S. torture in Afghanistan or Israeli war crimes. Biden wants to get tough with Putin on Human RIghts...??????
4ºI would think that the context of how they were killed and why . It might be more prudent to report that vs fueling more hate against law enforcement and create more racial divide. How many were drug dealers,coyotes, gang members? Do you really want everyone to believe that the police are just rounding up innocent Latinos and killing them? Sorry CNN and CNN readers, just because people are of color does not necessarily make them innocent victims. How many horrific murders have been reported this past few months and the perpetrators were black? Can we talk about the whole picture? 13 and 14 yrs killing people. There is a problem but not just with police.

6ºThis article is just nothing but lies and fake news. Tragic as it was, Adam Toledo deserved to get shot by the police. He was armed with a gun and lifted it out of his waistband as the cop was telling him to put his hands up and surrender.
Also, seems like the article never really explains what they mean by “died in custody.” What are the little trick to combine that category with people who are actually shot by the police. And I’ll bet that many if not most of these Latinos who died “in custody“ were actually murdered by other prisoners, in most cases other Latinos. Not that CNN’s leader ship is sophisticated enough to reason through this article. But I just thought I would leave this year as food for thought.
7ºI am tired of people trashing the police and putting them down.
I agree there are some bad police officers but only a small fraction.
The majority of police officers go to work and put themselves in harm's way.
Their families never know for sure that they will come home at the end of their shift.
No police officer ever wants to cause the death of another person.
I hear people say "even if a good officer has done nothing wrong, they are still guilty for not doing more to stop the bad officers"
My response is, how many family members cover up or fail to turn in their family member that they know is guilty of a crime?
No one but a fellow officer has a right to criticize the way the police react in any given situation as only another has walked in their shoes.
8ºRead the report, disregard the headline. The report, which is clearly slanted to demonstrate that police brutality is unevenly shown toward "people of color", STILL shows that whites die at the hands of police more than all "people of color" combined. Since whites make up about 57% of the population, these statistics (which I don't entirely believe, but they STILL make the point), show that police involved deaths seem to be spread equally among all ethnicities, based on population. If a study was done on number of deaths per police encounter, I'm sure it could be shown that whites are actually killed at a HIGHER rate than "people of color". If people want to work on ways to avoid violent encounters with police, I'm all for that. If you want to segregate the issue by race, not only is it nonproductive, but based on these statistics, it's just wrong.
9ºMy testimony may differ from the topic but it's a warning to whoever is in Love or expecting to fall in Love, out of the experience i have been through and that's why i don't wish any woman to be in the same shoes i was months back. Me and my husband had a perfect love story with our lovely kids not until he decided to move out of the house without any serious reason and chose to stay with his secretary, this was so horrible that it came out of no where. Matters became worse when he couldn't allow us communicate which tortured me and always put me in tears. Through all the depressions and confusion i lost control over my emotions which resulted into losing my job because i couldn't concentrate but instead over reacting on minor issues. I tried getting help but ended up wasting my time and more money to scammers not until when i went to church and opened up to my friend who reffed me to budda isma who had helped her son to win a court case and financial issues. For the last time i decided to give it a try for the sake of my children and Love i still felt for him. I contacted and told her all my problems, He promised to give me back my good-life and happy family again. He asked me to send her information of my husband and also buy some stuff which we used in making prayers. On the 4th day I found missed calls of him which really surprised me and made me so happy. I sent him a call back and he called immediately starting with apologizing and yearning for us to be family again. I forgave him since already budda had told me the other woman was using bad muthi(evil spirits) on him and since then our lives is progressing both financially and our relationship is so perfect than before.
