1ºTargeted mass shootings are one thing (gang/drug retaliation issues). Random mass shootings for no reason are terrorism and we need to start looking at those in that way...now, because however we approach it, it is going to cause an infringement on civil liberties (surveillance, gun restrictions, warrantless searches, arrests for affiliated/suspect affiliation with a group etc). Put another way, think about how we deal with transnational terror groups. If we know certain people belong to them we can/will preemptively target them, freeze their assets, restrict their travel etc. If we have groups doing that here in the US, that are US citizens, do we need/really want(?) to start those kind of activities against them simply because of affiliation with that group? How far does it go?

These people have no morals, no values and no concern for the human being. You really think taking guns away will stop the thugs from getting them? Don’t forget, this is how communist countries control their people! Do you know how many police officer have been ambushed and killed? I can guarantee you, it wasn’t by a law abiding citizen. Children hit with bullets in drive by shootings! If people want communist (taking everyone’s guns), then let’s have the punishment that goes with it! All of these comments are truly pathetic.
One side blaming another side,
Folks blaming NRA.
Folks blaming the gun. But not one comment have I read talking about what lead to this event.
If people would have more respect for others and learn how to be nice for once a lot of violence wouldn’t even happen.
And plus the judicial system has failed miserably,
Most offenders are of the repeating kind.
There is no punishment for criminals and they know this.
You do a crime and get a few months and back out.
You kill someone you get life with a roof over your head and 3 hot meals a day .
If America would make their punishments more harsh they probably wouldn’t have so many criminals running around.
For example: if you steal from someone they should cut off one of your hands.
If you kill someone you should die as soon as they find you guilty and not get a free ride for the rest of your days

And when the media doesn't post the race of the suspects that usually means the suspects were black,Which means the victims are black also.
