2ºThere are many people that don't eat pork for many reasons besides RELIGION, but people are quick to accuse you of one or the other without knowing you, just like they did me. So often people don't eat pork because it causes health problems, it almost took me out at 17 years old and I haven't eaten anymore in 47 years. What if this child had a health issue? You will be surprise, what parents will allow their children to go through for their pretentious (PARENTS) GLORY. In so many cases its about the parents that allow their children to go through this...MY OPINION...KEEPING IT 100...

3ºWhat the hell is wrong with those coaches? The reason this young man skipped an earlier weightlifting session is because of an INJURY! And those coaches saw fit to punish him the worst possible way by telling him to eat a pepperoni pizza, when they KNEW he could eat pork due to his religious beliefs, while his teammates were forced to carry heavy weight disks as they exercise around him! What ever happened to freedom of religion, isn’t that one of the fundamental RIGHTS of the United States of America? Jeez!!! That’s discrimination plain and simple with a sprinkle of psychological torture, because had he stuck to his gun and not eaten the pizza, sans pepperoni, his teammates would have made his life even more difficult than it already was because they were also punished by exercising with heavy weights around him! The ACLU and ADL needs to get involved and those eight coaches need to suffer the consequences of their actions! Intolerance at that school needs to be dealt wit swiftly!

4ºThis is straight up abuse and torture. He missed one practice, he's a good student and a good player. They sat him down in the middle of the coaches and his team and told him he had to finish the WHOLE pizza or his teammates would face more punishment. This is only one story. I guarantee you that something this openly abusive wasn't the first attempt at this kind of abuse. Every adult that saw this and did nothing should be charged. He was being courted by a few colleges. Now he doesn't even want to go back to finish his final year. "Bullying" isn't a hard enough word to describe this. Neither is hazing. This is some torture crap. After they made him eat it they also made him run extra laps. He probably threw up. None of these coaches should be around kids again. They can not be trusted

5ºAll is bad about this. Sister and I in 60s elementary school in Calif had to hold heavy dictionaries on outstretched arms despite s liberal district becsue all afraid of one teacher who was raised in the south. I didnt understand how physical punishment would gain intellectual knowledge instead of more library time. Kids were not allowed to look inside of the books on their wrists. We were 10. 11. I was high IQ. And she purposely gave college level questions. Not first time I've seen that kind of vengeance on students including my kids years. Yet most teachers coukdnt do their own assignments. I was reading at adult level by age 9. Application is only as smart as the test. Dumb tests dont mean anything.

6ºPunishing someone for missing training due to an injury is idiocy. I'd rather miss a couple training sessions in order to let an injury heal, and be back to play again the week after, than miss an entire season for ignoring an injury, and letting others tell me to tough it out. Then being made to cram an entire pizza or whatever else? That is just plain dangerous. Willfully ignoring a student's dietary restrictions, whether religious or medical, shows a lack of humanity, and a disregard for health.

Coaches have a right to expect the best out of their players, within reason. They do not have a right to resort to sadistic, demeaning punishments in order to encourage and increase performance, and verbally abusing player on top of that is sabotage. Coaches are supposed to be figures of trust, not medieval sadists.

7ºI don’t know if any of you that aré commenting in here have read the the book of the Hebrews of the book of the Muslims or the Bible? But in the Old Testament that is referred to the Hebrews God told them not to eat unclean wild animals like the Pig that has hooves , but there is another reading in the Bible that says that God gave a vision to one of the profeta and showed him in the vision all the unclean animals and the the profeta claims to God that he cannot eat them because is unclean, but God tells him that all that he has created he can eat , he just have to pray and bless its food. So this is very controversial about the religions who tells the truth . But that is what the Hebrews and Muslims believe and we have to respect them as we want that everybody respect our rights

8ºBlack Hebrew Israelites: What We Know About the Fringe Group

A suspect in the deadly attack on a kosher market in Jersey City was connected to the Black Hebrew Israelites, which has been labeled a hate group.

The Black Hebrew Israelites are known for their inflammatory sidewalk ministers who employ provocation as a form of gospel, preaching a theology that says the chosen ones are black, Native American and Hispanic people.

Now, it has emerged that one of the two suspects in Tuesday’s attack on a kosher market in Jersey City that ended with the death of six people, including a police officer, appears to have been connected to the group, a law enforcement official said.

That suspect, David N. Anderson, 47, was killed inside the JC Kosher Supermarket, along with the second suspect, Francine Graham, 50, officials said. Mr. Anderson, the law enforcement official said, had posted anti-Semitic and anti-police screeds on internet forums in the past.

A manifesto-style document was found in the van that the assailants abandoned in the parking lot of the supermarket. But the official said it was rambling and gave no clear motivation for the attack.

The belief system of Black Hebrew Israelites, a sect that is not associated with mainstream Judaism, varies among the dozens of groups into which the century-old theology has splintered over the years.

Broadly speaking, followers reject the notion of race, and instead believe that the 12 tribes of Israel defined in the Old Testament are different ethnic groups, or nations, and that whites are not among them.

“They mostly trade in anti-Semitism; they view Jews as impostors,” said Heidi Beirich, the director of the Intelligence Project at the Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks extremist groups and has labeled Black Hebrew Israelites as a hate group, because, it says, their ideology is informed by bigotry. “They call them sometimes devilish impostors or devils, because they think of themselves as the true Israelites.”

Ms. Beirich added: “The group is not known for committing mass acts of violence. It doesn’t have a record of violence that white supremacists have in the United States.”

The Southern Poverty Law Center has labeled Black Hebrew Israelites as a hate group.

In a news conference a day after the attacks, Steven Fulop, the mayor of Jersey City, said that Mr. Anderson had expressed hate in messages on Facebook. The mayor did not elaborate.

Consequently, Black Hebrew groups were founded in the United States during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, from Kansas to New York City, by both African Americans and West Indian immigrants.[12] In the mid-1980s, the number of Black Hebrews in the United States was between 25,000 and 40,000.

According to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), "Some, but not all [Black Hebrew Israelites], are outspoken anti-Semites and racists."
