Why not bring the drone autonomy to a new level? If inflight refueling is possible, why not do it with inflight charging?

I see autonomy as a green energy fuelled recharge station network, on the pathway, where the drone would stop to switch the emptied pack for a newly recharged one.

Ai control would make it automatically, although manual control may still be enacted.

This way inaccessible places like forests, marshes, may not need roads for development, like tourism, wise natural resource exploitation.

Large water surfaces may also be covered also through a chain of charging station battery supplying large buoys.

Snow, ice, rain, etc will not be a hindrance for transportation of people and materials. With a system of stormy weather alert, drones in vicinity of the cyclone will be rapidly redirected to safer routes!

Update: it may even be much easier than previously thought!
Exhausted Drone like flying autonomous batteries may detach from the main passenger drone in mid air leaving it on the onboard power transitional supply for the couple of minutes necessary for recharging, and have another, newly dispatched fully charged one attach to it, in a synchronized protocol. The exhausted battery would then direct itself to the nearby charging station where it will get stationed and charged until another request is sent. The whole recharging operation is done in midair, same speed in a certain radius to the charging station close to the planned trajectory of the vehicle!
