1ºNow, whilst I can’t and won’t condone such a gratuitously violent act, it is not at all a surprise. This has been a long time coming. Macron has been « slapping » the French in the face since his election 4 years ago. The countless blows have come in the form of insults, lies, floundering, mismanagement of three national crises and a genuine disinterest in the French people. It is time for him to go. Unfortunately, we will have to wait one more year til his term is up. Even at that point, it is uncertain whether anyone else will be in a position to keep him from being re-elected. That’s scary. Poor France. Vive la France et Vive La République.
