Rep. Clyburn: "This democracy is at a crossroads"

"This democracy is at a crossroads," says Rep. James E. Clyburn. "We got to stop playing with this because if you are all for preserving the integrity of this great country, you will be preserving the right of the people to vote. That is what [Sen. Joe] Manchin is playing with and I think he better take a hard look at what the history of this world is all about."

Sen. Manchin has completely sold out the Democratic Party.
He’ll probably be running on the republican ticket in the next election. He’s probably anxiously waiting for a personal invitation to Mar a Lago.

Charles Koch and his conservative committee Americans for Prosperity, have been pressuring Manchin to vote against the “For the People Act”, against the infrastructure bill, and to vote against the elimination of the filibuster.
All Manchin can come up with are lame excuses. One being that if he votes with the rest of his party it won’t be a bipartisan effort and his other lame excuse is that he does t want to upset Charles Koch because after all he is a taxpayer.
Yeah, right. Sure he pays taxes., just not very much.
The most recent republican tax cut is saving Koch 1 to 1.4 billion dollars per year in tax savings. A tax savings that has absolutely no benefit for the average American.
The Koch’s have contributed hundreds of millions of dollars to conservative senate and congressional candidates. I guess that easy when your already saving several times more than that amount on the tax reduction they bought from Trump and the rest of the republicans in 2017.
But let me reiterate, Manchin has sold out and hopes to be personally rewarded with large campaign contributions. You know, some of that money the Koch’s like to throw around.
