1ºWell, it is super easy to get a gun legally, as long as your background check is clean. Maybe, when someone applies for a gun permit, the state should actually call close friends and family to see if the person is mentally stable enough to own a gun. Don’t ask the spouse, if they reply“no” to the state, they maybe killed. Domestic abuse victims hide their bruises in public so no one will figure it out, so there is no way they would truthfully say whether their abuser is within their right mind or not, they are living under duress. So, maybe a different type of background check. Yes, I know the second amendment. If your son was actively suicidal would you simply say, “Second Amendment “ and hand him a gun and leave? No? Now, nothing is going to stop anyone from getting an illegal gun, especially with open borders.
2ºWhat is wrong with you guys. 3 people are dead today SO FAR die to violence in our country. Is it due to guns???? Violent video games and TV show???? Or is it just HATE?? Looking on these posts I say it's ignorance and hate. People dogging each other, calling g names and trying to degrade one another only because of the difference in opionion. The real funny thing is you actually actually open your brain just maybe a solution can happen or we are going to destroy each other. Example because our government refuses to open up and listern to each other and each side give they are hurting the American people.
3ºThey will never be any gun control measures passed! Too many politicians are in the pockets of the NRA and too many men in this country depend on having lots of guns to secure their sense of masculinity and purpose! The best we can do is look at the victims of gun violence not as victims, but as a necessary consequence of guns in the USA. If no guns laws are passed as a result of their deaths, this in turn insures that The NRA, and the Politicians keep receiving the profits of gun sales! It also insures that gun owners keep their sense of purpose! Harsh as it may sound” you can’t make an omelette with out breaking a few eggs! Here in America some folks have to die so others won’t have to give up their guns! I hate the situation just like many of you, but this is America and smart gun laws are never going to happen!
4ºI believe that some of the people do not get gun legally ,and misuse of gun is the order of the day in America of today ,it very hard in a day not to hear of reckness shootings in U S .l believe the reason for gun possession in U S is for self defence ,but this has gone beyoung that .Many innocent lives had been lost to reckness shooting in America .l know other developed contires in Europe also legalise gun .Whenever you going to any city or areas in America you have to open your eyes wide ,and even looking at your back constantly .While God will protect everyone of us
5ºSee that, no where is safe, a food store to get shot and killed in. No one seems to care or understand that there is NO reason to own Guns. Guns kill. Now we have a new breed of Society people who are angry and snap then take their Gun and go into a place and shoot to kill. Either certain people or a random shooting where they kill a mass number of people. Even during Covid outbreak at the height there were several who were told they couldn't shop in the store unless they had a mask on so there were several incidents when they pulled out a gun and shot at the employees. That's crazy!

(Not my words, folks! ) WELL...Maybe...guns don't pull triggers... but without people pulling those triggers (of GUNS) we wouldn't see so many people who love to shoot at people with guns kill people with those guns....and as a bonus, people wouldn't be dying from gunshot wounds. SO, here's a concept: don't allow everyone to buy them and take guns away from those who have threatened to shoot at people and guess what, guns won't be in the hands of the itchy trigger-fingers of those who shoot guns at people. I know certain gun owners will not follow that logic but many responsible gun owners do and they keep their guns locked up (right?), and they use them appropriately, (right?) and they don't keep arsenals of GUNS and ammo (right?), and they agree that not all gun owners are conscientious and responsible and that they would not trust the gun-owners who love to point those guns at their loved-ones in anger, or while under the influence of drugs or alcohol (right?). Intelligent people will follow this simplified logic. If you don't get it...well, you may just be the one who will point that gun at people and pull the trigger of that gun which is aimed at someone on the barrel-end.

We have had a war on drugs in this country for 47+years.
Yet we still have drugs on our streets,drugs in our schools we even have drugs in our federal prisons.
So what will more gun control laws on top of the hundreds if not thousands of federal and state gun laws do to stop someone from killing someone with a gun?
Here is a novel idea.
How about TRUTH in sentencing.
Where someone who is found guilty stays in prison in till he or she is released.10 years means ten years.
No bond on violent or gun charges and those people go to the front of the line.
Then they go from the county jail,to court and if they are found guilty they go straight to prison to serve all their time.
Those who commit murder beyond a shadow of a doubt to include mass murderers.
They get their speedy trial as guaranteed by law and if they are found guilty then they get a speedy execution in 24 hours.
And I'm speaking as a survivor of a homicide victim in 07 who was a relative.
The POS is a convicted felon that was released on bond for a drug and weapons charge.
He used a stolen gun.
Do I blame the gun.NO
I blame the liberal justice system who let the POS out on bond for a gun charge.
