1ºAre you kidding me right now? Children who could have just as easily been your children, are killing themselves and all you can do is start going back-and-forth about who’s fault it is? This isn’t a liberal versus conservative situation neither is it a Democrat versus Republican situation. The future generation of this country are killing themselves and you want to act like immature So-and-so’s whose head is so far stuck up their behind they can’t take this seriously. Also if you don’t understand this, fine but there’s no need for you to be an insisted of jerk because of it. Grow up and get yourself together because your behavior isn’t funny it’s downright sad and pathetic.
2ºI think the underlying issue the pandemic exposed is how destructive social media is, especially to younger generations. Forced to spend more time on social media, which is full of ignorant and cruel people, and away from their actually friends denying them cathartic exposures. It was really up to us, the parents, to protect these kid’s mental health.
Waiting for the day social media is regulated. Cant buy a pack of smokes or beer until you are 21 because of health concerns but a 14 year old girl can get her mental health obliterated on a daily basis by Tik Tok.
3ºThis is very sad but these figures have been increasing since before. With the rise of social media. Maybe the pandemic made it worse but then again during the pandemic people had more time to be on social media.
Mental health issues is present in most people but it is either overlooked or downgraded, denied or something and when it surfaces because of something it hits too hard you don't want to exist anymore. Raising awareness about it is not enough, it should be taught in schools and workplaces and homes and those affected should seek help. Professionals should come in and help especially the young people. We need to alleviate the numbers.
4ºSometimes this should not only be accredited to the pandemic issue, most of US teenagers are going through hell in their various. Relationships , I was opportune to interact with a young American girl some days back, the storm she told me about her Boyfriend and the way he treats her was so pathetic, I felt sympathetic for the Young girl..
So most times these young girls goes through a lot in the hand of men all I'm the name of love, that's part of the reasons I decided to remain single even at the age of 35yrs..

6ºThere is a new hotline number 988 to call for help for those wanting to kill themselves in suicide. They have counselors 24/7 to talk. Please don't do it because you are loved and you are worth it. I saved my daughter from committing suicide. I drove through the night 6 hours and got to her dorm in the morning and went into her dorm and she was shocked laying in bed and said, "Mom!" I looked her straight in the face said I love you very much and you are worth it and don't do it." She said,
"I know Mom, I won't do it and I love you too, thanks." She said she has a exam to take and when I'm done I'll come over and we'll go out to eat. So I left and went straight to the Mental Health Center on Campus and told them what she wanted to do and why I drove all night long to stop her from killing herself. They said they will talk to her and ask her to come in and we'll talk more. They spoke to her and we talked again and then my daughter and I went out to eat and had fun all day long.
