1ºIf Biden wants to complain about Russia's Human Rights violation for jailing a third-rate criminal, this will REALLY give him fodder. Hong Kong has a new "security law", that declares the Apple Daily newspaper was involved in a conspiracy of "colluding with foreign forces and external elements to endanger national security." Apparently since 2019, the newspaper has been living dangerously by publishing articles calling on foreign countries to sanction the Chinese and Hong Kong governments. I thought that was all the U.S. did...after all, Biden just placed sanctions on 59 Chinese companies that were a threat to U.S. competition, and an attraction to U.S. investors. Looks like "freedom of the press" might be in trouble by asking for more sanctions....but need they ask....??
