Apparently they haven’t heard of Alfonse Capone’s prosecution. It started with the accountant. Was that a political prosecution of a none political person? No!
The only difference is the main target here happened to a president before not just a criminal on the street. Even a president can act criminally before and during a presidency.
But I get what they’re trying to do, but as the CFO just felt; hand cuffs aren’t make believe. Also; I don’t think the DA is looking to have the CFO flip; but others with this as an example of what’s coming down the line for them.
Even if they give the CFO 1 year per count, that’s 15 years on just those counts. Even just giving half of that will make many shake!
And for the record; these counts most are for tax evasion, the DA can charge money laundering on these same charges, not to mention that to me the 15 year mention is key for me.
Because if others as the indictment points out were part of it; the DA can charge an ongoing criminal enterprise as in RICO charges.
Cohen is right; this is nothing. I predict the final shoe to drop will be RICO charges on Trump and his kids!
Also; everyone used to say “The Teflon Don” to describe the Gambino crime family head because of all the charges that never stuck.

3ºI've thought about the 'Trump Organization' and the man a lot of course. I looked at the Wikipedia article and noted there have been many lawsuits, but I didn't see any mention of criminal charges in Mr. Trump's past. I imagine the fellow is insulated from that sort of thing. As with any large organization there are safeguards to legal jeopardy for them. Just size alone is one, everyone has a lawyer. I've read that Trump has his own 'army' of them. Not to mention the company 'security' apparatus. I'm not sure Stormy Daniels didn't have a confrontation with one of them ? I certainly imagine there also are funds enough to satisfy legal challenges. What do they say ? Everyone has their price. Being able to obstruct justice in Federal investigations is quite a feat. Most people would like to know how that is achieved.
4ºSo this NY prosecutor literally had at least a decade of Trump's tax returns and financial records, had professional forensic auditors comb through each year...and all they could find is a few benefits to the CFO of Trump organization that weren't properly reported?
This is Mueller all over again. They have nothing so they have to charge somebody [not Trump] with a lame offense that people are usually fined for just to make headlines.
Now this prosecutor is openly threatening the family members of Trump's employees with criminal charges to get them to "flip" on Trump for an unspecified crime? Is Trump some sort of mafia boss? WTF is happening to America!

Trump is a trouble, and better example to Republicans, a man responsible for the demoralization of American Democracy, calling into question the principles of Freedom, Equality and Justice in the US Judiciary, lying about the legality of the American legal system,...accused of sexual harassment, human trafficking , pedophilia, to maintain an intolerant, segregationist and prejudiced conduct,...for installing chaos and inciting urban violence, for fascism, sexism, racist... GOP it needs to stop its cowardly practices of persecuting Blacks and minorities. Violation of human rights, torture, invasion of privacy, deprivation of rights... as if we were responsible for their incompetence. While the Republicans keep Donald Trump as a martyr, they will never be able to place and maintain the USA in its position of World Leadership. And won't get anywhere. Sorry but, probably this unbalanced have problems psychological.

So audit trump org taxes but an election audit isn’t reasonable? And who pays for that?
Arizona had donors pay for it but tax payers are paying for an audit for a guy that’s not president?
