3ºFor those with short memories, the southern border has been a proper problem for decades. There are solutions, but they are extremely expensive. One would be to open processing facilities in Mexico, and the other would be to massively increase what we currently have down there right now, including more courts and judges, more living quarters for those detained, etc. These are not my original thoughts but what others who know something about the situation have said is needed. No one considers it a political win to ask for the funding that is required, so it never happens. Certain people, and politicians, love to bellow about the law enforcement side of it since that makes them seem 'tough' but immigration is extremely complicated. People are leaving their homes not because they want to, but because they feel they have no choice. So there is a huge international dimension to this as well.
4ºWake up. Trump and republicans controlled the White House the house and the senate for two years yet did not give us a ten year funding bill to fund a wall. Why? Because they aren’t actually interested in building a wall. Just using it as a talking point to divide the country. Low information voters are a huge problem in this country. 9ºDid he take his very own personal "tool box" to work on the repairs where all those people climbed over that wall? Where is his "hard hat" to protect his "cognitive, amazing brain". He took his "hairstylist", yet, forgot his "tool box". How much did this trip with the 20 other Republicans cost us taxpayers? Just curious how much we pay for his own secret service security for him and his crew, and any estimates how much that will cost us for the next 10+ years? 10ºIf this wall is so necessary and a good use of our tax dollars, then why didn’t all the funding for the border wall get approved during the first two years of Trump’s presidency? The Senate, the house of representatives and the presidency we’re all in the hands of the Republicans. Don’t take my word for it, go look it up. For the first two years of trumps presidency, Congress and the presidency both were Republican controlled, yet Congress still did not approve the funding for the border wall. Why is that? If this wall is so vital and a good use of our tax dollars then why did Republicans themselves not approve the funding?
