Some parents are seeking out permanent virtual school for the fall

After more than a year of pandemic living, the frustrations and downsides of online learning are well-known to countless households. But some parents and kids had very different experiences.

Rt for Covid in San Francisco is currently 1.51 which means that for every 100 people infected they will likely infect 151 more. Rt was at 0.82 a few months ago when the mask restrictions were in place and the state was more locked down. R0 of Covid is around 2.5 which means it is likely to get very bad in the next few months. For those of you with no algebra or math skills it means exponential growth which is bad. If you are unvaccinated then you should be worried.

There is no way in hell I am sending my unvaccinated kids (they are too young) anywhere outside of the house with those kinds of numbers floating around. My district either does distance learning or we pull our kids.

The virtual or “online” learning wasn’t a total bust and unfortunately only the negative was a focus, front & center. A lot of kids actually and parents learned that maybe this is a better option. Not all kids learn the same, regardless of the situation at hand. Being able to see the teacher, get the information they needed and then work kind of at their own pace works well for some. Instead of distractions on & off all day at school or the transitions throughout the day. I think it was maybe a good forced changed for some that maybe other wise would have never explored this option of learning & realizing it’s possibly what works best for their child in the long run.

I own an online school http://www.nextlevelhomeschool.com Like with anything, there are ways to do online learning that works for most and ways to do online learning that doesn't work for most. The key is to create engaging lesson plans and then engaging offline projects to get the kids really hands on with the topic. The problem though is that public schools are incapable of thinking "outside the box" and creating educational experiences that can easily translate from the classroom to online. That said, NO educational format works for everyone. You have to seek out the teaching format that best fits your child's learning style.

If parents want to have their children enrolled in virtual schools to keep the child safe from mass shootings, Covid-19 and Joe Biden, then the parents have such a right.

The protection of the kids is the responsibility of parents and since the government can't and won't protect children at school, then once again the parents do have a legal case to insist and enroll their children in virtual schools from their own homes.

Virtual Schools will create a better learning atmosphere as well due to distractions not being present, such as the Selfie Elite who prey on kids to think a selfie will get them into Hollywood instead of the child learning and getting ready for college.

By the way, no one cares about the, "Not everyone can (insert), But others have to be (insert) which is basically a social conservatory.

1. Praise ye the Lord! Tis good to raise your hearts and voices in His praise His nature and His works invite to make this duty our delight.

Today's Scripture: Psalms 75:3-10 The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.
I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:
Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.
For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.
But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.

THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS COME NIGH UNTO YOU!HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND!SHALOM

I would have loved learning from home as a kid (wasn´t an option). In fact, I always did better learning by myself, compared to being in a classroom (which I found tedious and stressful).
As an adult I do a lot of learning online and am loving it. For some, online learning can work really well. Plus, for some topics that develop quickly it is absolutely necessary! Especially because books on certain topics are totally outdated - like trying to find a current print publication on 3D modelling with Blender is impossible, most are several software versions behind.

With some fields and for some people, traditional approaches just don´t work as well.
