3ºI believe President Trump also asked for extra security for the capital. Now I want to know why Nancy Pelosi Chuck Schumer and Mitch McConnell did not get extra security? I want to know why the south side of the capital was easy access could I want to know why some of these Capitol police officers was just letting people walk by them without trying to stop them. I also want to know why Nancy Pelosi would not let some of the Congress that are Republican stand up and bring out some evidence that would strongly make it to where people started taking that this was all set up by the Democrat Party.
4ºApparently she doesn't know her history because the worst attack on the Capital came in 1983 when a domestic terrorist group blew up a bomb in the building. As for those calling it coup this was far from it. It was a protest that did get out of hand lead by misguided individuals. There were enough people there that if they wanted to cause real harm and were armed they would have. Their main goal was to cause distruption of the count which they did. Did some go to far...hell yes and those individuals should be held accountable. It’s another totally scripted attempt for the republicans to prevent the American people from finding the truth about the revolt against our country. They have been continually trying to keep us from the truth. They try and downplay it. You’ve all heard their outrageous claims that what happened in the Capitol was like any other day of public tours. You’ve all heard the absolutely ridiculous statements from Trump espousing love that was there with everyone on January 6th. . Lie after lie after lie. The republicans don’t want us to know the truth.
The Republican senators unanimously voted against a bipartisan investigation into the Jan. 6th insurrection and storming of the Capitol. It is obvious that a thorough investigation into the insurrection is something the republicans don’t want.
So Ok, the democrats opt to hold their own investigation and in an attempt at bipartisanship they invited McCarthy join in the investigation along with 5 House members of the Republican Party selected by him. This was the second attempt by the democrats to hold an unbiased, truthful, and thorough investigation.
McCarthy selected the 5 members of which 2 have openly denied the legitimacy of the 2020 election. These two members consistently voted against the confirmation of the election. One of these two, Jim Jordan led his fellow republicans in denying the election results and attempted to overturn the the results.
How can anyone not think the reason for McCarthy’s selections was anything other than an attempt to sabotage the investigation?
It’s obvious that he doesn’t want an investigation, never did. Now that his two treasonous members he selected for the investigation have been rejected he can now jump up and down and point his finger at Speaker Pelosi and accuse her of being disingenuous.
It’s all a bunch of crap. The Republican Party just continues to unashamedly show it’s true colors. They continue to exhibit abhorrent behavior and their total disregard for the oath they swore to uphold the Constitution of the United States.
