Eighteen states have enacted new laws that make it harder to vote

Arkansas and Montana are leading the way, with four new laws apiece, according to a new tally by the liberal-leaning Brennan Center for Justice

You are reporting a very, very vague statement! Many articles state they are extending voting hours and how are they purging names? Please explain this in detail. You haven't read any of these and you aren't sure. There are many articles stating positives of these voting re-writes. Many articles state the rules are go farther then what they were prior to November 2020 election though the rules were so relaxed in 2021 due to the pandemic. So, if you are talking about restrictions compared to the pandemic voting rules? There were virtually no rules for voting November 2020. Many asked (primarily Republicans) but many refused. To compare it to November 2020 election is not informational. Comparing to previous 2020 elections is something to be considered. Other then that you are just playing politics and are just writing bias stories; not even to be considered a News Report or a Reporter yourself. You know that but fail to have any morals in reporting due to politics and money. I am not a Democrat or a Republican.

‘Breaking the News’ Reveals: Amazon’s Black Lives Matter Donation Tied to Convicted Terrorist. Last summer, Amazon announced a $10 million donation for “organizations supporting justice and equity,” including a donation directly to the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation. At the time, BLM Global Network was sponsored by Thousand Currents, a non-profit whose vice-chairman is Susan Rosenberg, a convicted left-wing terrorist. It’s a major oversight for Amazon, the self-anointed arbiter of domestic terrorism. The group also claimed responsibility for a series of bombings, including the 1983 bombing of the U.S. Capitol. According to historian William Rosenau, May 19 “also bombed an FBI office, the Israel Aircraft Industries building, and the South African consulate in New York, D.C.’s Fort McNair and Navy Yard” over a 20-month period.

What is amazing, you need an Government issued to cash a check, open Any type of account, including water, sewer and electricity....Yes, even to buy a firearm anywhere in the US you need an ID.... However, the Democrats are upset and claiming "harder to vote" but yet in Georgia you have to show an ID at the polling station, but not one for absentee vote....Like we are supposed to assume every vote that comes in by an envelop is where it is from...Hmmm Identify theft is rampant due to other people stealing other people identity, but yet the American voting system is 100% safe.

Making voting harder isn’t the same thing as denying one their right to vote.

There’s nothing wrong with voting laws that establish reasonable guardrails to protect against cheating or fraud.

Voting should be difficult enough to dissuade cheaters, while remaining easy enough that anyone can do it legally.

Democrats have been very clear, for instance, that my 2A rights are not absolute and in the interest of public safety “I” have to bear the burden of acquiring a firearm in accordance with the laws of my state, even if those laws ‘make it harder’ for me to exercise my right.

The same logic holds when the topic switches from guns to voting, or from guns to abortion.

Dems seem to think that the only way to make voting easy is to allow it to happen in any way anyone wants to do it without regulation. But the ease of casting a ballot has to be balanced with measures that protect the integrity of the process… even if those measures impact some percentage of voters.

It does absolutely nothing to restrict a legally qualified voter from voting. These laws make it more difficult to unlawfully vote. For every unlawful vote, a lawfully cast vote is disenfranchised. Any intelligent person knows that our right to vote should be protected from corruption as vigorously as any other right. Every voter is required to show I. D. for many other transactions of far less importance... The only reason to be against securing our voter laws must be to allow for cheating. Also, those Democrats who fled their state of Texas because they couldn't get their way, are a disgrace. They are the ones who make rules which they insist the public follows but they exempt themselves. Look at the photo of them on the plane without a mask in sight. But karma got them or at least Covid did...

How do they do that? I see they don’t mention them. Hmmmm. They only tell you they do. Anyone notice that? Does this liberal Brennan center think BLACKS are dumber then whites? Because these laws apply to ALL EQUALLY!!! Nothing says black or white. Purging voter rolls is something ever state should do every year. People die, people move, to a different precinct or a different state. People change political parties. Purging voter polls doesn’t prevent anyone from voting. It purges people of all color. No one is denied by any means there right to vote. These are such lies. Not one person has ever says they were denied their right to vote. You have to register as I do for absentee voting each year. The rules are the same for everyone equally. Blacks don’t have to abide by any different laws then a white person or a Hispanic or and Asian. More propaganda by the w
Democrats

What's in Senate Bill 1?

Under Senate Bill 1's provisions, a ban would be implemented on drive-thru voting or casting a ballot from inside a vehicle unless participating in curbside voting due to a disability. A ban would also be placed on overnight voting, requiring polls to be open a minimum of nine hours from between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Election officials would also be required to install a video surveillance system that records vote-counting activities, with a livestream made available to the public in counties with 100,000 residents or more. Those in large counties would also be required to install tracking software to monitor "all input and activity" on electronic devices used to count votes. Beginning January 1, 2024, equipment that does not disable or remove any wireless connectivity capability would be prohibited from use in tabulating votes.

SB 1 would also allow partisan poll watchers to observe election activity inside polling places and vote-counting centers as well as during curbside voting that takes place inside a vehicle. It would also make it a crime to deny access to a poll watcher.

In addition, voters would be required to include a driver's license number or the last four digits of a Social Security number on a vote-by-mail application and the envelope containing their ballot. Individuals who help voters cast their ballot, due to language or physical needs, must fill out a document listing their name, address, relationship to the voter, and whether they're being paid by a candidate or political committee. Those who drive three or more people to the polls would also be required to fill out a similar form unless all vehicle occupants are family members.

The secretary of state will also be required to work with the Department of Public Safety to provide data on a monthly basis from the existing statewide computerized voter registration list to be used for verification of citizenship status on voter registration applications.
