I wrote this in 2016. Still a pretty awesome idea IMO

——————————————————————-

Let's put 16 teams (4 brackets) in a college football playoff. 10 conference champions and 6 at larges.

The Orange, Sugar, Rose, Fiesta, Cotton, and the Peach can be the "regional" finals and cfp semifinals. First round games will be held on campus sites.

That adds 12 playoff games over just 2 weeks, gives 8 teams an additional home game and we don't need to change the # of participation trophy bowl games.

Imagine opening weekend of this schedule! 4 games Friday, 4 more Saturday!

This still breaks a lot of tradition with the bowl games, but it'd be a lot of fun!
