The basic question is can leaders of failed coups then use Executive Privilege to hide their tracks and obstruct justice? Aside from all the relentless, bogus claims of voter fraud culminating in the fomenting of a treasonous insurrection on January 6th, we heard him, his own voice when trying to suborn perjury from GA election officials to defraud the election there and when they refused to conspire with him to do so…he threatened to retaliate against them. Do we need to see armed forces, tanks and bombers coming for us before such behavior is punished? And then, wouldn’t it be too late?

Excerpt from his lawyers submission reads:

"The limited interest the Committee may have in immediately obtaining the requested records pales in comparison to President Trump's interest in securing judicial review before he suffers irreparable harm"

Before he suffers irreparable harm...... To me this reads like admitting that there are elements which confirm an active hand in the violence. Any step pushing back on the protests would be helpful. Neutrality would not harm him either and could even based on Bidens less than perfect performance be desirabe in winning right leaning dems to the republicans for the mid terms.

Your nation needs the full facts so you can heal and move forwards

I can't believe how many foolish people are on this post.

The committee doesn't give a crap about the Capitol riot. They are just trying to find political rhetoric against Trump so he won't run or the public turns against him. It doesn't matter if it has to do with the Capitol riot.

God even this CNN article mentions "for political messaging*, Rep Kinzinger admitting no crimes found, the committee admitting they are going outside the mandate, and a former prosecutor saying the DOJ doesn't need the committee and knows everything, and finally the DOJ saying the Democrats are politically pressuring them.
