2ºNot sure we can be guaranteed that the Omicron variant is not as virulent. Would be so great if that were true and hope it is. However, we do know it's more contagious which would still mean it would pack hospitals at an alarming rate. If it turns out it really is less virulent then we could reach herd immunity quickly and this would be good news to all of us. For now, take precautions! Get all vaccines including a booster, get tested before you visit relatives and wear a kn95 mask which both of those things should be free to all of us and readily available which at this moment it's not and that is not good. 7ºScientist who discovered the MORONIC variant said nations are over reacting to this MILD cold like symptom variant. Colds and flus spread. Media never did this for colds and flu. Yes I get COVID in general is serious. But this new variant is like a common cold. And main reason hospitals are full is due to lack of staff. And main reason numbers are up is due to very high rate of testing right now. And ironic how many are testing weekly for jobs but there is a lack of rapid tests available.
