1ºI found out this was in California, and I've been thinking about this all day, in California so I've heard they won't prosecute you or take you in for shoplifting unless the amount us over 900$, with the way things are going California is sloping towards Chicago status as far as crime goes, I doubt the insurance would cover this because of higher crime rates California's liberal laws are what caused this, the police would've offered no assistance to the store owner which made him act in favor of his shop. California needs to stop give it up change your name and start new cause little girls shouldn't be shot because the California lawmakers don't want to prosecute criminals for shoplifting

I can't help but think..what is while she excitedly waited to see the too big bunny she was suddenly shot..bleeding, terrified and in tremendous pain.
I am incredibly glad to hear she is ok and her injuries are not life threatening

5ºJeanne Clark Last thing before I move on, Kyle only shot the people that attacked him. It's plain and simple like that. No bullet strayed away and hit anyone else. Only the people attacking him got popped. Gage's bicep sang the song as it was blown from his body by Adele, Hello from the other side. I'll tell you the main reason i took Kyle's side, the news, CNN, MSNBC said Kyle shot three black men. Calling him a white supremacist. I seen the video and they were all three white. Only in America you get called a white supremacist for shooting white people. It's the #dumbingdown part of society that believe Kyle is guilty. Truth is gonna hurt people's feelings. Had a good conversation, usually people trigger and cuss me out. You were composed and stood your ground. Respect!

7ºShould have not been stealing.. How many times has that shop owner lost merchandise to idiots with long fingers? Was he threatened?? Obviously the shop owner understood that mallcops do not protect ANYONE... THEY ARE JUST THERE TO ENFORCE MASK WEARING AND SOCIAL DISTANCING..... If the mall does not put security guards at each door with metal detectors and protect both patrons and sellers... It should be closed.. BOTH THE GIRLS FAMILY AND THE SHOP OWNERS SHOULD. SUE THE MALL FOR FAILING TO SECURE THE ESTABLISHMENT THAT COULD EASILY BECOME A DEATH TRAP FOR ALL PARTIES INVOLVED. 8ºMarie Anderson Yes there is a way but big corporations that own these stores will not hire the people necessary to stop it, it all boils down to money. Where I live a popular store closed because the shoplifting was causing them big money, but the corporation would not hire security guards to stop these people. The people doing the stealing are not stealing food to feed their families, these are usu8ally big ticket items to sell on the street for drugs. This country like many has problems and until we can get people in congress to see this, and to do something about it, it will continue and get worse.
9ºMichael Loughlin nothing about our gun laws are well-regulated. Any moron can get a gun practically anywhere. And as for the criminals would still get guns argument, I ask you to look at the myriad of countries that regulate guns and see how much gun crime they have vs The United States. The other big argument is that the government will take over if the people are not armed. Well there are 2 issues there, 1 being we elect our government so if you want better government Maybe we don't elect autocratic aholes who are only In it for themselves. And 2 to take over the country would require our own soldiers to kill innocent civilians, and since we use a totally volunteer military the odds of them following those orders is slim to none. If we used paid mercenaries it might be different but we don't so it won't happen
10ºAlexa Salvesen LOL, that certainly will have an impact on stopping crime And stealing is not how we do things in America. Unless of course you are justifying stealing. It is a risk they take when choosing to commit a crime. for those of us who have worked retail, this is EXACTLY why store policy typically is to NOT confront thieves, as they may be armed. thus there is a risk of harm. thieves do this as they know they are likely not going to encounter an armed staff member. they have nothing to fear from staff or law as there is little that the law can or will do these days.
