A. Look how young Fauci was in this interview. When did he say this, 1988?
B. He was specifically talking about the flu virus that was around at the time he stated it. Furthermore, he said - again, specifically to that strain of flu virus - that if that person to whom they are referring already had the flu, there was no need to get a flu shot. That's true. I don't think any reasonable medical expert would dispute it even today.

2ºOwa Tajer-kiam but it does show that natural immunity isn’t such a bad thing. Think about all the people who have been infected throughout the pandemic. I for one was one of those but it made a difference when I got the vaccine. When I got both doses, I had an adverse reaction because my body already recognized COVID and was questioning why the contents of the vaccine were going into my body. Now that’s not to say that getting vaccinated is a bad thing (it’s in your best interest especially if you haven’t been infected), but I think it does point out that mother nature’s injection can help your body to recognize the virus.
3ºPeter Snyder completely untrue dude. Our medical experts from even early days have said the “novel coronavirus” (meaning new and unknown) could have long term consequences and several variants if we don’t vaccinate the global population. They predicted exactly right. They also said unvaccinated who got Covid are likely given protection for 6 months or less. HELLO!! There are booster shots available because even the two shot vaccine has proved to be less effective over time. The same way we need multiple flu shots, hepatitis shots, MMR vaccines, Shingles vaccine. Because one exposure doesn’t equal immunity. It’s time to stop listening to propaganda before it kills you like it has so many who rejected science.
4ºPeter Snyder Dude, maybe you're reading every other word, maybe you have Covid head fog, I don't know, but I'm not sure what you're referencing. In context specifically of Covid-19 and not the flu or anything else, natural immunity has proved over and over to have failed. Sweden tried natural immunity and it failed miserably. It is well-documented that natural immunity isn't even an option for Covid-19. From the very article you shared:

Gee, this is Fauci saying exactly what I just said: "It’s very likely that if you didn’t get the vaccine, your antibodies levels will start going down and down and down and down and then you might get vulnerable to reinfection, which we’ve seen in some people,"
I'm done going around in circles. I'm glad to hear you're vaccinated. Spread the word that everyone should be so we can actually get to herd immunity via the vaccine.
5ºOwa Tajer-kiam that is a very hateful comment. What I am arguing here is that journalistic integrity no longer exists. Everyone is now a shock jock. I won’t even defend conservative news media, some Fox pundits (like Hannity) and even Newsmax likes to frame and agenda set. Nevertheless, mainstream media is just as much guilty of this as anyone else. They are no longer interested in reporting raw material but they love to give their spin on it as well and tell you what to think.
As articulated by Plato, it is time to come out of the cave my friend. It is time to open your intellect to many other glorious views out there. The media likes to keep people in this “cave”, keeping them away from the light of all things. It’s time to look beyond what the media tells you to think and think for yourself.
