BMW’s flexibility-first electric vehicle strategy is different from that of luxury competitors like Mercedes-Benz and Audi.

Dustin Holt "You can’t lessen the dependency on coal because liberals are unwilling to build power plants that actually work".. the fact it was in Build Back Better, makes this statement irrelevance and inaccurate. And yes you can support the infrastructure, you just have to upgrade it, which we have to do anyway. You sound like one of those people who believe technology is static, and once something is built, it can't be upgraded. Also sounds like you don't understand the point of the Build Back Better act, and you're going around in around on topics that would have been addressed in the Bill. I can understand why you're doing this, because it doesn't fit your narrative... https://www.forbes.com/si...sh=7f1faee45829

Dana Harris what I’m saying is and what you just cannot understand is that electric vehicles are not the solution and they are not clean…… and building the infrastructure to support them burns more energy and uses more resources…. You can’t lessen the dependency on coal because liberals are unwilling to build power plants that actually work
The average neighborhood can’t support the electrical demands of every person having electrical charge charging at night so all the infrastructure to the neighborhood has to be redone The lines the distribution the substation etc
This is assuming we actually build some power plants

Tony Hinson the starting point for a new Nissan Leaf is $27.4k, and there's a considerable market for used electric vehicles right now. You dismiss reasons to get one "to save some on monthly gas prices", but right now there's a lot of people shelling out a hundred bucks a week on gas - that adds up fast, especially considering the cost of charging an electric car for the equivalent distance is closer to $15. In one year that's $5,000 vs $750 - not chump change. Also, cleaning up pollution is a lot more expensive than just not making it in the first place.

Has anyone done any research on what these electric cars are actually doing ???
Electric cars are still USING ELECTRICITY PRODUCED BY FOSSIL FUEL , and actually STILL POLLUTE IN WORSE WAYS WITH THEIR LITHIUM AND COBALT BATTERIES . Is this REALLY GREEN TECHNOLOGY OR IS THIS THE NEXT, BIGGEST WORLD POLLUTING SCHEME ??? Russia, OPEC and Arab countries control now oil production.
China *dependent on Russia for oil, is buying cobalt and lithium mines in South America and Africa to boost their manufacture of batteries for electric cars . Only the nations who have energy sources,** fossil fuel, and mineral mines will control the planet , those who don't will be controlled by those who do, and although the USA is the biggest producer of oil , nat gas and coal and has enough to supply the world , and lithium and cobalt mines too, it will not touch them because drilling and mining pollutes the planet. Marxist democrats have decided not to use our resources and allow the destruction of the US economy and the world by giving the control of fossil fuel and minerals to criminal communist countries....

Of course the GREEN NEW DEAL promoters don't care about the lithium / cobalt polluted waters of Argentina, Brazil , the whole of South America and Africa or how those batteries will destroy the planet in the next decades ...
