Oksana Diduh I maybe poorly educated but all of these stories was touching, but dying in vain or thinking you're fighting for your next coming generation, like you've think WAR is the only answer NO - it's the beginning of war we all know, hardly you see the end, anyways what I believe is you're fighting Russia in a total wrong way, now that your country is being destroyed, people dying, you don't know the next building another missiles will hit, you can't even sleep enough, starvation here and there- West can't do enough and as some point in time your country will become Somalia and other countries that war have been destroyed, you'll be caught with what you're fighting for - it's easy to destroy very hard to build...... Ukraine is Sovereign country deal with the matters, dialogue it in an other way, to avoid being push like a puppet...

Russian word or name on a contract is useless now. Have broken numerous corporate contracts and numerous global agreements. Update to the modern age where a contract is more important than the past. That costs a country money. It is ALL about money. About starting a war during a pandemic and further disrupting supply chains. It will cost not only the Russian government but its citizens till they get the point you break a global contract you will hurt. Need someone new who understands before you start a war you arrange the contracts to continue in the other countries. Definitely not a modern country at all.

Evelyn Jones can't fight with pitchforks. And that type of thinking may be ok for YOU, but I have higher standards and my moral compass and as a proud American who believes in freedom, sovereignty accross the board I will NEVER be as cold and as ignorant as to watch a genocide happen right in front of my eyes. If that's your stands you should leave this country and go live idk...in China or better yet go to Russia.

Most of you wouldn't even be here if America told YOUR great grandparents to F off and their wars.

People like you are a disgrace to this planet. Selfish, self absorbed pitiful human beings.

It's because of people like YOU that Hitler gotten as far as he did.

Disgusting

It's a WAR , what do u expect ? Only the strong survive in this world. Been that way since the beginning of time. All powerful countries are guilty of the same atrocities. Soon there will be NATO and AMERICAN boots on the ground in Ukraine. Biden is compromised to Kelensky because of his son Hunter. Kelensky has the goods on Biden and his son. Biden will give Kelensky everything he wants including our US military in time.Already giving them Billions of dollars and military equipment, Humanitarian aid and accepting 100 + thousand immigrants.Ukraine is not a NATO or US ALLY. Where do u draw the line. Hard to see a lot of Europeans get killed, or kill each other or be displaced .White on white criminal #WAR ! Kalensky needs to Surrender and Step Down, save his country and his people. He was not prepared to fight Russia. With all of its failings Russia is still a Super Power with Nukes ,and is Destroying Ukraine. The US is lying to us. Ukraine is Losing this WAR !

US airstrikes have killed at least 22,000 civilians since 9/11, research shows
The figure released by the organization Airwars, based on the number of US airstrikes, highlights the human cost of 20 years of the "war on terror. "The report, based on the US military's own claim that it has carried out nearly 100. 000 airstrikes since 2001, is an attempt to estimate the number of civilian deaths in the multiple conflicts that are part of the "war on terror".Air and drone strikes have killed at least 22,000 civilians - and perhaps as many as 48,000 - since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, according to a study released by Airwars, a civilian casualty tracking group Airwars.

Diego Alberto Castellanos are you kidding??? Rockets are flying outside the window, and it is 40 km from the border with Poland! I live in the west of Ukraine and everyone here knows where rockets and bombs fly from! and do not lie here when you do not know the truth! look at the "bombed" Donetsk and compare it with Mariupol! Donetsk has not been destroyed for 8 years, unlike Mariupol, where in 2 months there is NOT a single undamaged house left… My friend had an apartment there, she was just starting to live with her husband there .. people were happy, lived peacefully, the city on the coast of the sea… and now there is nothing left… and there are still 100 thousand inhabitants of the city in the basements. Children evacuated from Mariupol were brought to Lviv. One girl hid bread in the corners of the room, fearing that she would be left without food again. Look again at Donetsk and Mariupol and tell the truth: has Donetsk really been bombed for 8 years?

Akinnubi David Oluwasegun I live in the states. My family resides in Ukriane. Their hometown is in the west. So they don't see any ground invasion but every day and night they have missiles flying over their heads.

You don't understand what you are saying. Clearly you are poorly educated on Ukrinian history as most.

Russia been devastating Ukriane for DECADES. They beat, tortured, killed and purposely starved us by the millions. They forbid us to speak our language, they destroyed our monuments, churches, historic artifacts and burned our art and books. They have actively tried to cleanse our country of our heritage.

Many of us still have living relatives who remember the Russian rule, like my 84 year old grandmother who watched her father being shot and thrown in the river for refusing to give up our village men to be sent to labor camps or when they came to her job harassing her for money by holding her at an open 5th floor window. When my grandmother was able to visit her family in the states. She wrote letters to my grandfather depicting the beautiful, peaceful life she saw in the states. The Russians intercepted the letters. They came to my grandfather and told him to force my grandmother to come back and never travel again or next time they will come and excute our whole family.

These stories are only by my family, in reality all of our people have experienced untold horrors for many years by the Russians.

THIS, this is why we refuse to lay down our arms. This is why we are willing to fight till the last breath, if not for ourselves than for our children and grandchildren, so THEY don't see not ONE day under Russia, so THEY don't know the hardships our parents and grandparents have been through.

Our comedian president is doing what WE the people want him to do. You may not understand it or agree with it, but it is not your choice to make.

Hypothetically speaking if our current government sold out and gave in to Russia, we would of overthrown him and kicked him out of the country as we did with the last one who tried.

The current situation now in Ukraine is getting worse. Each does not want to give in in Russia's demand. Unfortunately, Russia does not posses a good reputation among democratic countries. She is copying Hitler before. Hitler annexed Austria, Sudetenland in Czechoslavakia & Poland(half of her. The other half, Russia. All claiming to protect German-speaking citizens. The same thing happens today. Russia claiming the same thing plus to protect Russian-speaking people from GENOCIDE by Ukrainians. Russia is in control of Donbass region since about 2014. How can that be? Unbelievable! She sent troops to then East Germany, Hungary & Czechoslovakia before to prevent them from leaving Warsaw Pact military alliance of communists, then. She annexed South Ossetia in Georgia and subjugated Chechnea in 2000,s. And now, she annexed Crimea & Donbass region of Ukraine in the pretext of people's choice. Her action violates Budapest Memorandum in 1994 & Minsk Agreement in 2007 of w/c Russia is a signatory. "Old habit is really hard to die." US did not stop France when she left NATO before(France has rejoined NATO). Sweden & Finland are not NATO members but now siding w/ the West against Russia. US likewise, didn't use force against Cuba & Venezuela when they sided w/ Russia. It's their right as a sovereign country to do so. Moreover, US entered war into many countries(to protect its existence, ideology, to hunt down criminals, to fight invaders & to stop terrrorism) but she didn't annexed an inch of their land. But, Russia is doing the opposite. She took a land, a part of Finland, a part of Germany, now, Kaliningrad and Kurile islands from Japan after WWII. In addition to that, Russia is noted for imprisonment, killing & poisoning of opposition. She wants to reestablish the old Soviet Union. If we were to follow that thinking, England, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany & Holland can claim back their old colonies. Have we realized that? And now, Russia invaded Ukraine. Her all denials are not true. It's a disgrace.

The times the United States invaded oil countries in the name of democracy in the twenty-first century
While the "arbitrary destruction of cities, towns and villages" is considered a war crime not subject to the statute of limitations in international law, it is scandalous that the aerial bombardment of cities is an act that not only goes unpunished, but that those responsible for it can hardly be charged either. Aerial bombing is State terrorism, the terrorism of the rich. More innocents have been killed by bombs in the last six decades than all the murders committed by terrorism of all time combined. Something has blocked our awareness of this reality. We in America would not even entertain the possibility that a man could be elected President who had dropped a bomb on a crowded restaurant; but we are happy to elect a man who once ordered bombs to be dropped from airplanes that destroyed not only the restaurants, but also the adjacent buildings and surrounding neighborhoods. I went to Iraq after the Gulf War and saw for myself what the bombs had done: "wanton destruction" is just one term for it. (C. Douglas Lummis) (1)

The above was written in 1994, before the wanton destruction generated by the bombing of Yugoslavia, another in a long list of countries the U.S. has bombed since the end of World War II, a list that follows.

10ºWhy has the US and NATO never been sanctioned for starting wars?

"Unless the West is looking for the outbreak of World War III, it would be advisable to stop the horrible hypocrisy and double standards against Russia," warns an American journalist.

The West's reaction to the Russian military operation in Ukraine has exposed its double standards and "high degree of hypocrisy," considering that wars waged by the U.S. abroad never received the punitive response they deserved, criticizes American journalist Robert Bridge in an opinion piece.

The events in Ukraine have shown that Washington and its allies are capable of destroying such countries as Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Syria, among others, with "almost total impunity", while Moscow and Russian President Vladimir Putin are being lynched in almost all media, the journalist writes.

Bridge recalls that for more than a decade Russia has been warning about NATO expansion, but its concerns were not only met with predictable "scorn," but the Atlantic Alliance continued to expand into Eastern Europe. "Imagine what Washington's reaction would be if Moscow were building an ever-expanding military bloc in South America," he questions.

"Arrogance and indifference."
Moscow's patience ended when Washington and NATO "began flooding neighboring Ukraine with a dazzling array of sophisticated weaponry amid requests for membership in the military bloc." For Russia, Ukraine "was beginning to pose an existential threat." In December 2021, in a last attempt to avoid escalation, Moscow "delivered draft treaties to the U.S. and the Atlantic Alliance requesting that they halt military expansion," but "once again" those proposals were met "with arrogance and indifference by Western leaders," the article's author criticizes.

Robert Bridge recalls that in the last two decades Washington and "its cronies" have engaged in "belligerent behavior". The "most notorious example of this is the invasion of Iraq in 2003. That disastrous war, which the Western media have labeled an unfortunate 'intelligence failure,' represents one of the most egregious acts of unprovoked aggression in recent memory," he denounces.

Washington accused Saddam Hussein of possessing weapons of mass destruction, and "instead of working with UN weapons inspectors, who were in Iraq trying to verify those allegations, the US, along with the UK, Australia and Poland launched a massive bombing raid [...] In the blink of an eye, more than a million innocent Iraqis were killed, injured or forced to leave their country because of this flagrant violation of international law," he recalls.

More than 900 lies by the U.S. government.
It was later revealed that then U.S. President George W. Bush and other senior officials in his Administration made more than 900 false statements between 2001 and 2003 in their "effort to bolster public support for the carnage" in Iraq. Yet somehow the Western media, which have become the most vigorous proliferators of military aggression, did not doubt the arguments presented for the war," the journalist censures.

For all that, "one would expect the US and its allies to be subject to severe sanctions. In fact, there were sanctions, but not against Washington. Ironically, the only sanctions that resulted from that crazy military adventure were against France which, along with Germany, refused to participate in the Iraqi bloodbath. The global hyperpower is not used to such rejection, especially from its supposed friends," he asserts.

"Whatever a person may think about the conflict now raging between Russia and Ukraine, there is no denying that the hypocrisy and double standards its perennial detractors hurl against Moscow is as shocking as it is predictable." In addition to the sanctions imposed against Russia, there has been a "deeply disturbing effort to silence" the Russian press, which could give Western audiences the option of seeing the other side of the conflict, he laments.

Bridge believes that what the US and its allies are doing is "so reckless, it leaves no room for debate, no room for discussion, no room to see Russia's position in this extremely complex situation." "Unless the West is looking for the outbreak of World War III, it would be advisable to stop the horrible hypocrisy and double standards against Moscow and patiently listen to their views and versions of the facts," he concluded.o
