Some abortion clinics are preparing for more out-of-state patients if Roe v. Wade is overturned

Abortion clinics in states likely to maintain access to the procedure are preparing for a potential influx of out-of-state patients following the report of a leaked draft of a Supreme Court majority opinion that would overturn Roe v. Wade.

And right there: the idea of 'good cause' is a British common law phrase. But America has never accepted the power of the law and police to demand as a right that someone account for their actions: that everyone is free, but there are certain freedoms [gun ownership being one, driving being another] that come with an implied heavier invigilation by the authorities [regular safety checks and MOTs being the examples]. And this idea is something that Americans have never accepted, even implicitly, or that legal logic can be turned on its head: if it is illegal to travel out of state to have an abortion, it is ALSO illegal to transport guns out of state.

Here’s the thing, guys.

It doesn’t matter when life begins.
It doesn’t matter whether a fetus is a human being or not.
That entire argument is a red herring, a distraction, a subjective and unwinnable argument that could not matter less.
It doesn’t matter whether we’re talking about a fertilized egg, or a fetus, or a baby, or a 5 year old, or a Nobel Prize winning pediatric oncologist.
NOBODY has a right to use your body, against your will, even to save their life, or the life of another person.

That’s it. That’s the argument.

You cannot be forced to donate blood, or marrow, or organs, even though thousands die each year on waiting lists.
They cannot even harvest your organs after your death without your explicit, written, pre-mortem permission

Denying women the right to abortion means they have less body autonomy than a corpse.

Marshall Dillon - if you know the subject why are you so upset about this legal opinion? The constitutionally issues surrounding Roe V Wade have been public knowledge for decades. Even in the Casey ruling they made mention of this legal fact.

Every woman has the power over her body to take steps to ensure she doesn't get pregnant in a modern, medically advanced society such as ours. Using abortion as a form of birth control doesn't give anyone power, just shows how irresponsible you were in your decision making and how little you regard human life for your own convenience.
No one's banning abortions.
Your concept of civil right being deminished because people now have to be accountable for their actions is absurd, not based in logic nor any legal principals known to modern civilization.

I don't have to change your mind as the court has changed theirs. You're the one who has to accept this is the way it is now.
It won't change back, at least not in your lifetime.

Kristopher Rand as i said, you signed up for the consequences of your actions when you engaged in the behaviors that cause a pregnancy. Everything has consequences. If creating a human is not your bag, dont do the things that create them. Her bodily autonomy completely changes to their body/bodies. You cant disconnect twin who are attached if one will die in the process. Which isnt even what sick ppl are asking for. They arent interested in separating the 2 so that they can both lead their own lives. These crazy selfish ppl are asking to kill the other human. Im sure your leftist mind cant understand any of what i just laid out.

Tired of party politics? The Nevada caucus and California early call caused a mass #DemExit, in 2016 because the DNC subverted the democratic process. This is the only reason Trump won. This president supporting the WHO, NATO, Big Oil and the industrial War Complex has us headed for WWIII. Independents are the largest group of registered voters, sick of the manipulation and of party politics. We want our voices heard. It is happening! Altogether, there are 31 states (plus the District of Columbia) with party registration; in the others, such as Virginia, voters register without reference to party. Among the party registration states are some of the nation's most populous: California, New York, Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Arizona, and Massachusetts. https://peoplesparty.org/platform/

I eagerly await challenges to these laws. And when they are struck down, what next? Does the State government deny the validity of the Court? Nullification is actually illegal, and the sort of challenge to the rule of law that nobody could overlook. Recall Old Hickory threatening to march the US Army down to Carolina to enforce the laws that they were ignoring. The other thing about nullification on political grounds is that it can be turned against the wielder: faced with the revocation of Roe vs Wade, a state governor could easily say, as Lincoln did 'I reject this perverse verdict, and no state employee will obey it'. Or they could also say 'the verdict of Heller vs DC is perverse and we will not obey it.' Then how is the court to enforce its whim? It must either ask for martial law and a replacement of the elected government, or sit back and preside over the collapse of the rule of law.
