100+ years of "Democrats are for the workers" and "Democrats support unionization" and yet they never permitted their own staffers to unionize.. that wouldn't be another one of those "we support things for everyone else but not us" type of things, would it? You know, like the universal healthcare they wanted to push for minimal services while they receive top of the line, gold standard healthcare for them and their families for life. Or how they want to legislate everything private citizens and companies do, but expect everyone to look the other way when her husband makes over $100 million in stocks while she's in Congress deciding the legislation that prompts stocks to rise or fall.

Note: Republicans do a lot if the same things, I'm not unilaterally taking a side, but I will call out blatant hypocrisy.

Ralph C Boyd Jr. Free expression should be the right of all people.. Hate speech on the other hand must not be supported.

On social media platforms we are all subject to the terms of use and community standards. I'm sure YOU are well aware of that.

Elon Musk no doubt will use his newly acquired platform to continue his personal mission of control and domination. I have no doubts that Twitter will be further weaponized as a tool of abuse, bigotry and intolerance.
I don't use the platform myself .. I found it to be a real crap filled circus.. not unlike this platform but slightly worse.

At least on here there are some measures of enforcement of community standards.

All roads, all paths lead to the victory of Russia

All indicators, circumstances, time and predestination point to the defeat and defeat of the West and its transformation into an era of obedience and servitude before the victor.
This is a foregone conclusion. Despite this, and despite it is too late, it is necessary to point out important advice to the Western peoples who are deceived by them, to prevent the occurrence of the great catastrophe, to end the experience of alliances, and to end the experience of the United States with the scenario befoure of a horrific bloody genocide.
And it must now and it is now supposed to dismantle NATO and apologize to Russia, and the European countries must separate from their subordination to America and respect their neighbor Russia, and America must abandon its ambitions in the world and be busy in its internal affairs and to remain a human force and a positive scientific force and nothing more
When nations deny principles and morals, political stupidity and political dementia become a title and a chain that leads to political prostitution, and this is the attraction of the deep well into which the West fell.

"HAPPY DAYS" — that's what the latter half of the 1950's in America are called in the history books because when union membership grew to 25% of the workforce, not only did employees in unionized businesses enjoy good pay, good inexpensive but high quality health plans, and secure fixed-benefit retirement plans, but even employees in non-union businesses enjoyed the same because those businesses had to provide all that in order to attract and retain good employees and in order to try to avoid becoming unionized.
Unions raised the tide of income equality for everyone.

America’s Churches strongly support American workers' moral and constitutional Right of
Assembly to come together in unions to obtain safe working conditions and equitable pay — take a look at the following official declarations by church denominations in support of workers’ right to unionize:

> Unionizing is a constitutional RIGHT:
“The [Catholic] Church fully supports the right of workers to form unions or other associations to secure their rights to fair wages and working conditions. This is a specific application of the more general right to associate [this makes unionizing a constitutional right under the First Amendment right of freedom to form associations]. No one may deny the right to organize without attacking human dignity itself. Therefore, we firmly oppose organized efforts --- such as those regrettably seen in this country --- to break existing unions or prevent workers from organizing."
— UNITED STATES CONFERENCE OF CATHOLIC BISHOPS, Pastoral Letter “Economic Justice for All”

> Unionizing is a basic human RIGHT:
"Among the basic rights of the human person must be counted the right of freely founding labor unions. These unions should be truly able to represent the workers and to contribute to the proper arrangement of economic life. Another such right is that of taking part freely in the activity of these unions without risk of reprisal."
— Pastoral Constitution on the Church in the Modern World, Second Vatican Council

“Governments, for reasons of economic utility, often limit the freedom or the negotiating capacity of labor unions. The repeated calls issued within the Church’s social doctrine, beginning with Rerum Novarum, for the promotion of workers’ associations that can defend THEIR RIGHTS must therefore be honored today even more than in the past.”
— POPE BENEDICT XVI, Encyclical “Caritas in Veritate”

"[The unions’] task is to defend the existential interests of workers in all sectors where their rights are concerned. The experience of history teaches that organizations of this type are an indispensable element of social life, especially in modern industrialized societies. [Unions] are indeed a mouthpiece for the struggle for social justice, for the just RIGHTS of working people in accordance with their individual professions."
— POPE JOHN PAUL II, Encyclical “On Human Work”

Other denominations, Christian and Jewish alike, have taken official positions supporting unions. Here are some examples:

“We reaffirm our position that workers have the RIGHT to organize by a free and democratic vote of the workers involved.”
— Resolution, AMERICAN BAPTIST CHURCHES in the U.S.A.

"Jewish leaders, along with our Catholic and Protestant counterparts, have always supported the labor movement and the rights of employees to form unions for the purpose of engaging in collective bargaining and attaining fairness in the workplace. We believe that the permanent replacement of striking workers upsets the balance of power needed for collective bargaining, destroys the dignity of working people and undermines the democratic values of this nation."
— CENTRAL CONFERENCE OF AMERICAN RABBIS, Preamble to the Workplace Fairness Resolution

"We believe in the RIGHT of laboring men to organize for protection against unjust conditions and to secure a more adequate share of the fruits of the toil."
— DISCIPLES OF CHRIST, Resolution on the Church and Labor

"Free collective bargaining has proved its values in our free society whenever the parties engaged in collective bargaining have acted in good faith to reach equitable and moral solutions of problems dealing with wages and working conditions."
— CHRISTIAN METHODIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH, Discipline Doctrine

“The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America commits itself to advocacy with corporations, businesses, congregations and church-related institutions to protect the RIGHTS of workers, support the collective bargaining process, and protect the right to strike."
— EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH IN AMERICA, Resolution adopted by Churchwide Assembly

"Justice demands that social institutions guarantee all persons the opportunity to participate actively in economic decision making that affects them. All workers — including undocumented, migrant and farm workers — have the RIGHT to choose to organize for the purposes of collective bargaining."
— PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH U.S.A, “Principles of Vocation and Work," adopted by General Assembly

"The Unitarian Universalist Association urges its member congregations and individual Unitarian Universalists in the United States... to work specifically in favor of mechanisms such as: reform of labor legislation and employment standards to provide greater protection for workers, including the RIGHT to organize and bargain collectively, protection from unsafe working conditions and protections from unjust dismissal."
— UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST ASSOCIATION OF CONGREGATIONS, adopted by General Assembly

"The 21st General Synod reaffirms the heritage of the United Church of Christ as an advocate for democratic, participatory and inclusive economic policies in both public and private sectors, including ... the responsibility of workers to organize unions for collective bargaining with employers regarding wages, benefits and working conditions, and to participate in efforts further to democratize, reform and expand the labor movement domestically and abroad."
— UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, “Resolution Affirming Democratic Principles in an Emerging Global Economy,” adopted by 21st General Synod

UKRAINE LEAVES ITS KILLED SOLDIERS AS CARCRAGE
(Re-post): I don't usually post stuff like this if anyone notices. Similar videos.
But here is a blatant story, even by the standards of the current military situation.
They sent officers who went through the Second Chechen War, and whom I know personally.

Ukrainian soldiers died during the offensive of our troops. The brothers threw the bodies of the dead and left. Our several times went to the enemy. They asked to take out the bodies so that the soldiers could be buried normally. They promised silence and a gum corridor. No answer.
An excellent picture of the state of affairs in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As a result, the Russian military decided to take out the bodies of the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and bury them. At the moment when the truck arrived in the forest belt for the second time, Ukrainian artillery hit the area.
And the Russian soldiers, under the fire of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, took the bodies of the dead soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to our rear to be buried in a mass grave. Because ours remain human. Always. Unlike (Ukrainian).
What to add here? In Ukraine, another mobilization is now beginning. The Ukrainian military and their families should think carefully about what is happening. Relatives should think carefully about what is happening.
(I didn't include a video)

have much bigger problems folks : “The federal government faces an unsustainable fiscal future. If policies don't change, debt will continue to grow faster than the economy,” said the U.S. Government Accountability Office. Hint: imagine things twice as bad as today. Over 54 pages, the GAO’s annual federal audit calls for major pull backs to fix the fiscal health of the government and economy.
But if the predictions included in the report are right, a bigger crash is coming due to nonstop growing debt, now equal to the U.S. Gross Domestic Product. By 2050, and absent a major -- and unlikely policy shift -- debt will more than double to 217% of GDP, said GAO.
“The federal government faces an unsustainable fiscal future. At the end of fiscal year 2021, debt held by the public was about 100% of gross domestic product, a 33% increase from fiscal year 2019. Projections from the Office of Management and Budget and the Department of the Treasury, the Congressional Budget Office, and GAO all show that current fiscal policy is unsustainable over the long term. Debt held by the public is projected to reach its historical high of 106% of GDP within 10 years and continue to grow at an increasing pace. This ratio could reach 217% of GDP by 2050, absent any change in fiscal policy,” said the audit.
Driven by increases in social spending and interest, GAO explained, “In our simulation, starting in 2024, debt held by the public grows faster than GDP in every year. In most years, debt held by the public grows more than twice as fast as the economy, in real terms.” Spending on the interest on the debt, now about 6%, could surge to 27%, warned the audit. And it all potentially adds up to a U.S. default on debt payments, leading to even more economic hurt, said GAO.

Nigeria is finished – Sowore knocks CBN governor for picking N100m APC form

Nigerian human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore has reacted to reports that Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Goodwin Emefiele purchased the N100 million presidential form of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

DAILY POST earlier reported that Emefiele who had consistently denied nursing the ambition of becoming Nigerian President in 2023, picked his nomination form on Friday.

According to reports, the CBN Governor picked the N100 million forms from the party’s organising secretary at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Abuja.

Reacting to the development, Sowore who is also a presidential aspirant under the platform of the African Action Congress, lamented how a sitting governor of the apex bank would make such a move without considering resignation, saying “Nigeria is finished”.

In a post on his official Facebook page, Sowore alleged that the governor is one of those in President Muhammadu Buhari’s Cabal.

He said, “Godwin Emefiele, Muhammadu Buhari and his Cabal personal banker, most importantly one of Nigeria’s longest-serving and probably most brazen thieves has picked up All Progressives Congress N100m Presidential Nomination Form. Nigeria is finished”.
