A tip among hundreds led police to capture Vicky White and Casey White. But her death leaves many questions

For those close to a former Alabama corrections officer who were hoping for an explanation for her unexpected disappearance with an inmate and motives, her death leaves plenty of questions unresolved.

Love can make you do some crazy things and this is a prime example of what it can do. She just feel in love with the most manipulative person and love has no boundaries or face. He was a coward that will live the rest off his life regretting his decisions and actions that caused her death. Now he gets to feel what it feels like to lose someone that you loved. I think she took her own life, because she knew that she had to face the people/peers she loved behind a shameful decision. No need to bash her she made the choice to end it as the consequence for her action. I have never been on a person side that has done this type of stuff before but it's something different about her. She had a great background from childhood to now the devil got in her ear and she went alone with him. Reminds me of this book "Where are you going, Where have you been?" reading that book made me realize how people could be very manipulative. But as I stated in the beginning love can make you do some crazy things no matter what race, ethnic, or gender.

Dooby Bimm Nice title but to bring in the women you have to soften it up and really make the story about her. Screw the guy he's not important at all she's the story here. All they need him for is the love interest the break out the love scene and the car crash.. Total screen time 15 mins. She's the story the beautiful aging blonde well respected in her community but no one knows her scret pain of loneliness and longing for love. She's swpeted off her feet because she meets the guy of her dreams only problem he's an inmate but they share the last name. Oh this is good so easy to write.. The story tells itself. She plots his breakout puts her plan into action sells her house retires buys a couple get away cars place them around town to make er get away and then the escape day comes and they get away and are on the run.. First night in the motel she comes out in her sexy nighty that she picked up at the adult book store earlier. The story is a winner and we have the heart break at the end with her killing herself.

Daryl Whipple This movie has been made a billion times.. I'm sure Lifetime is working on the rights already.. Disney and Hallmark might not be far behind.. It's a beautiful story that has it all. It has love, romance, danger, adventure, car chase, guns and even death at the end the perfect sad ending..The only difference between this story and what we see in the movies is we watched it play out in real life.. Now the guy can be written out the story isn't about him at all.. You bring in the people by telling her story.. The Blonde who seemed to have it all but it spirals out of control she falls in love with a bad guy breaks him out of jail life on the run and it ends with her killing herself.. Hell even Netflix would love to have this movie..

I’ll never understand how men and women who are corrections officers FALL for inmates! Honestly.. WHAT do you honestly think they can do for them?! They are behind bars for God’s sake.. they have nothing but time on their hands to figure out ways to mess with them emotionally.. physically and mentally. They can’t ever provide a good life for them.. I highly suggest that the book “the downing of a duck” is taught in every class of officers in the academy. It deals with what happens and what inmates DO to people for fun. If there’s ANY officers reading this comment.. if you haven’t read it.. I suggest you do. It’s very informative and could very well save your life!

Nothing good comes from these relationships. They don’t “love” you. They are manipulating you.

Freddie Cunningham her death is not enough for you to still consider the charges? Can't any of your human compassion treat those charges agst her is now extinguished with her death?Your mind should have taken depth too to consider the more imperative goal of the pursuit about her and the inmate, Casey White is - that of him, a criminal who is a potent danger to other humans esp. women as his original case was stabbing a woman to death and suspected to be of mental health issues at present. Perhaps if Vicky White can read your heart and mind, she wishes you to forget her, at once. Obviously, you do not go along with the message put across in my opinion.

Karen Klette Hargett What happened to Helen of Troy, Cleopatra, Knights of the Round Table and Sir Lancelot and even Romeo and Juliet..Where those stories glorified? The real world isn't sleeping beauty or Cinderella either but we buy our daughters dolls and tell them those stories. It's up to a woman to accept a man/woman advances in order to build an emotional bond with that person now are you saying that process is called manipulation? If so are you married or have been in love with someone and were you manipulated into doing so? They both shared that adventure. He wasn't alone.

Karen Klette Hargett she was no different than he was. She knowingly assisted a violent criminal with a very long criminal record escape jail. Every article written since this started stated that she had planned this out very well from selling her house to filing for retirement. According to her coworkers she’s had a “special relationship” with him since 2020 therefore she knew exactly what she was doing. She lied about taking him to an appointment and even purchased a vehicle days prior and had it staged to be used as a getaway car. Stop trying to paint her as an innocent victim who was taken advantage of and call her exactly what you would had she been of a different ethnicity. She’s a dead criminal because of her stupidity in thinking that she and her criminal love interest would somehow get away and live happily ever after.

Some of you people are talking about a romance movie being made. Listen that man was in jail for murdering a lady. Making threats to kill his ex and all you care about is a freaking romantic relationship? She aided and albeit this man. This man could have possibly killed again. She lost her life do to her actions. She was responsible for making sure he remained behind bar, as a law enforcement officer she derelict her duties. Nothing romantic about this. She turned criminal. I also wonder how the grieving family who lost a loved one to him murdering her feels about what she did. I guess they can’t wait to see the romantic movie.

Davidson Zetrenne thank you for explaining this point. I’m a mental health therapist and wanted to make this point but didn’t have the words. My mind keeps going to personality disorders. Dependent Personality Disorder specifically. (Definitely not presuming to know, just speculating). Childhood Trauma is almost always at the core of those diagnoses. These individuals were usually exposed to unhealthy attachment styles and behaviors growing up. Makes it very difficult to develop a sense of healthy versus unhealthy boundaries, especially when it comes to forming connections and attachments to others. A Very sad and alienating issue to struggle with - it is a widely misunderstood category of mental illness.

10ºLori Brant the only thing is he didn't lose anything if she was alive. He has enough charges piled up he will never get out of prison, so additional time won't matter. And since she appeared to be an active and very willing partner in the escape he wouldn't be charged for her participation anyway. However she had a lot to lose. She was going to be seated beside the same people she used to look through the bars at. She was probably going to be jailed in the very jail she worked at. She was going to have to face her coworkers. Explain to her mother and family and her friends. And likely find herself very isolated and alone going through a criminal trial. Life as she knew it was already over.
