So that’s false and comes from western way of thinking. Nuclear families developed from culture and construct norms. We as diverse of a country still see collective families holding on to those norms. Any one witj Asia, Latin America, African roots will have more of collective mindset. Even African Americans family structures tend to be collective with grandparents living in the home, being multi generational. The purpose of the nuclear family did evolve for a reason but not entirely because of advancements of society lol

This person said nuclear historically is the way we've done it and the way it should be and I was ssaying historically that's not accurate and nuclear is a recent push on how to raise families. you are talking right now as how it's been and that is accurate and much more common. Sadly we actually should get back to the village idea because no one should hAve to do it on their own and that's also not the best way to raise a child because it's isolating and too much on one person.

5ºScott Jocoy No, it is letting the child not being raised as a parent thinks the child should act and go through life (like my father did) and letting the child know the boundaries of right and wrong but not restricting what they felt they needed to do. My eldest son wanted to be a policeman when he was 4. My father would have discouraged that (which he did try and do) and we supported him and now is a sergeant. Our daughter did a degree at university which she hasn't used outside university, but that is fine by us as that is what she wanted to do, though the degree did give her lots of thinking and analytical skills which have been useful. My father was against that as well. Yes your child is someone you have helped to create physically but they are their own person and a good number of parents don't think like that.

How are you following scriptures, you're not, you're cherry picking passages which suit you. Have you read Arius, Aquinas, Clement of Alexandria, St. Francis, Augustine, Teresa of Avila. They are among the 40 most influential of the ancient Theologians. I would imagine you don't even know which ones were fathers of the church and which ones were scholastics. Have you at least read the works of modern Theologians? Bonhoeffer, Conger, Sheehan, Von Balthasar etc. Until you have studied their works you know nothing

And then let's see- how do we get a job AFTER the baby- one that pays enough for bills, $200.wk davcare and your normal living expenses. Oh that's right- you mentioned child support how much do you figure she gets? Daycare alone is abouit $800/mo for an infant- diapers? another $150+? 9ºStephanie Branham while part of your argument is valid.. you left out essential components that had nothing to do with white presence; eg indigenous peoples were warring, killing, engaging in slavery, Way before the whites ever got here. Black indigenous people in Africa and the middle east initially started slavery thousands of years ago, and continue even today, people have been killing each other over religion, color, power, etc since the beginning of time…. Ignoring that is ethically and intellectually dishonest. And if we are to charge whites with all the crimes, then we also have give them credit for what’s been done right… actually, our constitution and bill of rights (considered two of the most compassionate and egalitarian documents ever produced) were written by primarily by whites…every race has its faults, but many also have amazing accomplishments… cover both….

As an Armenian coming from a Christian background, more faith based than church, I also went through phases of being agnostic, spiritual, wondering if my beliefs align more with Atheists, I like science & solving problems. I rely on logic & reason. And in my attempt to seek the truth I found evidence for faith in Christ. I’m sure your sons journey isn’t over yet. He may turn out to be the Prodigal Son.
