The Federal Reserve means business when it comes to tightening monetary policy.

Lora Thomas I went from making $99.000 a year to working for $15 an hour. You know what the biggest difference was? Respect. Respect for people working for you, with you. If billionaires don’t think they owe anything that’s fine, they don’t respect the system they are in. They don’t respect the people under them earning the wages with the blood, sweat, and tears. And I’m not saying they don’t have their own problems, but 40k a year, ESPECIALLY in this period of high inflation doesn’t mean jaque. Times have changed now. Why can’t we all be a good different?

Jared Dee

Let’s unpack this comment list of yours:

Q: Retire, as in make no money for the state?
A: Yes, Red states have substantially lower tax rates.

W: If the government has no business running our lives why do the republicans what to give the government control over their reproductive rights?
A: Protecting babies from being slaughtered out of convenience has nothing to do with the right to reproduce. Science needs to decide when a baby becomes a human with rights.

Q: Why do they lock people up for victimless crimes like having a joint of weed in your pocket?
A: Are you asking about the Biden crime bill that flooded our jails, Kamala ignoring evidence to convict, or the attempt to stop people from overdoses? Power seduces all politicians, which is why need smaller government.

W: Why do they claim to love freedom of speech but then ban what you can say and talk about in schools?
Q: Anyone who needs a law to stop them from sexually grooming 3rd graders has no business near children. Like alcohol, books should not be banned, but need to be put into context before giving them to children.

Q: Why everytime i see cops on the internet violating peoples rights the right is saying just comply and fight it in court.
A: Because resisting arrest is a serious crime that obstructs the process and vastly reduces the chances of acquittal.

Q: Seems the right is really about being controlled if you ask me.
A: Your questions, so far, indicate that you have not yet thought through the logical answers. Don’t fall into party politics. Think for yourself.

Neither party is selflessly telling the whole truth.

Right now one party wants to overtax, create bigger government and to apply a one-size-fits-all federal authoritarianism. We’ve seen a huge percentage of small businesses fail under recent authoritarianism, replacing them with Amazon and Walmart. Government elites are not satisfied and now want to crush those big businesses as well. The appetite of big government is insatiable. We have watched it crush humanity for thousands of years.

The other party wants lower taxes, smaller federal government and to let states deal with local issues that permit Americans stay diverse and independent by creating new business owners.

Daniel Griger They may not be building everything but they are managing the entire company. Ever personally know a CEO of a large corporation? I do. We we served in the USAF together. He left the service and went to work for Pizza Hut as a store manager, through hard work he was a regional manager in 2 years. From there he went on to senior positions at Starbucks, Kinkos and FedEx. He was then hired by Peter Piper Pizza chain to rescue the company from Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. For 2 years he was working 16 hours a day working with banks and investors to put together a financing package that would keep the company and its thousands of employees in business. In 2014 he worked out a deal with CEC Entertainment to merge with Chuck E Cheese. So while he wasn't "on the floor" making pizzas he was doing something FAR more important.

Dave Wood Rising interest rates, like inflation is a de'facto tax. Higher rates will significantly impact home ownership through higher mortgage payments (rates are over 5% now and will continue increasing every time the Fed raises rates) equating to $65/mo per $100,000 for every 1% rates rise. 12 months ago rates were at 2.5%, now a 30 year mortgage is at 5.5%. On a $250,000 house that's an increased monthly payment of $430/mo. People often finance big ticket items like cars and many home improvement projects which effects 10s of millions of people every year (not even counting people who carry credit card balances). Anything that leaves you with less money to spend or save every month is a de'facto tax.

Jared Dee You obviously haven’t been to Mississippi for awhile. The weather is great and the lifestyle is gentile.

Collecting repayment of the socialist security taken by government is not welfare, but it’s where you get those numbers. The people who choose not to work, don’t receive government money for very long.

But there are politicians in MS who try to get the unemployed to vote for them by promising more freebies.

“In most cases, those who want power probably shouldn't have it, those who enjoy it probably do so for the wrong reasons, and those who want most to hold on to it don't understand that it's only temporary.”
― John C. Maxwell

Jared Dee California can’t even keep count of the number of illegals it harbors. They do however, do a good job publishing propaganda and selling it as “factual.”

I can understand how you were taken in by their shills. They own Hollywood and have trained blue newscasters to recite verbatim propaganda at their whim. Those news stations made the business decision that there’s no risk being socialist in a free country, but huge risk if they freely speak the truth in a country that fails into socialism.

Just don’t expect anyone objective to believe the science-denying party that says it cannot define women but claims to scientifically justify them killing their babies out of convenience.

Kevin Caverly There’s relly no point in blaming big business, its been pointless for years but people are still hooked into the belief that billionaires owe money back. I learn back when i was 16 only way to get ahead was to work and thats what i did, if someone walked up to me and said so and so is now a billionaire my response was always “Good for them”. Back in the late 80’s and early 90’s when i was growing up gas was 79 cents that was without any national debt, but as the debt grew cost of living went up. Today we are paying much higher than normal because of this fight against mother nature which i don’t believe can be won, from today on out nothing will be easier. Till we can use our own resources and lower the debt otherwise this country is sunk. I read now if your not making $100,000.00 a year you are considered poor, i was shocked to see that, but not surprised.

Lora Thomas that’s a good point, a fair point. However, this evolving economy is being swallowed by big business and the little businesses are being bought out. So workers are subject to the cutting costs that’s placed on by the people who have money. In fact the trickle down effect was made for middle class, hence the reasons for tax cuts. But the money has stayed in the pockets of the companies.

So what’s the point of these ultra rich companies, Amazon, Meta, Google and are they really helping the middle class? They use our data that we give them freely and profit from it. Who sees a cut from that? Not the middle class

10ºEileen Roy Papas about lowering the budget 1.5 trillion? That's easy it's all over the web. Simple Google search. Oil is a commodity. Anytime a country that produces oil in the top 5 reduces supply makes price of fuel rise. Biden campaigned on getting rid of fossil fuels. He started a war on oil. Then he wants them to produce more. There is no trust their. Oil companies have been picking up drilling but it takes time to get oil to market. They are making a killing and charging what they can because the future is gloomy with Biden. Look at Russia, the ban on their oil has caused the price to rise. There has been low supply with demand at a high. Supply chain and fuel should have been priority one when country open back up. Instead it is renewable energy. This isn't a bad thing but we are not back to normal. Supply chain, did you know that a container pre pandemic was 2500 which is now 12000.
