1ºLou Smith Democrats aren’t the problem, republicans are, and if you still believe democrats are the problem, then you are only adding to the problem rather than being apart of the solution. Democrats are the ones fighting to get bills that they created to pass in the senate, bills that are created to protect civilians. The republicans refuse to vote on them and are throwing them out, because they don’t like democrats. Republicans are failing this country, anytime you put your party before the betterment of the very country, you lose all rights to say you are for your country, because that’s a lie, you are not.

4ºAre school shootings the new American trend or something? What are they practicing for? How does a 18 year old legally purchase firearms but not liquor until 21? Because of the school shooting trends, laws should be examined and rewritten to make age and background check adjustments. The age should be 25 - 30 years old to purchase, a credit score of 700+, and a background check of every person in the household where the firearm will be kept. There just got to be a way to make these tragedies obsolete besides preparing children to dodge bullets in a learning environment that is meant to be safe in the first place! SHAME ON AMERICA
5ºCarlos Armas exactly. Ban them all, or don’t do anything. I don’t own a gun. Never have. I’m just trying to figure out what exactly people want banned. No one can give a good answer. That’s the whole point. I’m totally fine with actual assault weapons (fully automatic is what deems it an assault weapon). But other than that, where is the line drawn? And if you ban all guns, how do you go about taking them out of the hands of criminals? You can’t just leave everyday people who believe they need protection, stranded without any. It’s way too blurred of a line. I’m just looking for everyone’s input.

Sometime I think that I have to say thank you america. Because, after 11 september you came to us in middle east and taught us that the president of your country is not God.
Especially when they brought Saddam hussein from the sewage hole, So when we saw that in the tv, our mind started unconsciously asking why not to change the presidents in all arab countries and when Obama came to Egypt and he gave a lecture in Cairo University and he was talking about democracy and culture of change that gave us a big push to destroy the normal pattern about the president then aftre Three month the Arab Spring revolutions has started in all arab countries against all the dictatorial regimes in the region.
Unfortunately, it failed. The same previous regimes returned. But we are still carrying the hope that America will help us in making a second round, perhaps we may succeed. And we become like America.

9ºAnd the shooter should have gotten help when he needed it. The gun wasn't the problem. The problem was all the s*** in his head which I'm not surprised he had. I guess it was a he. I guess the United States has a problem with its Healthcare system including mental health care. People aren't evil. People are driven by other people to such a point that they become bad people. 10ºCarlos Armas ok good. So we ban those guns. You think he couldn’t have done the exact same thing with a couple of revolvers? I don’t own a gun. Never have. The argument that if this particular firearm was not available to this nut job that he wouldn’t have done this terrible deed is ludicrous. He could’ve done the same thing with a couple of revolvers. Takes about 10 seconds to reload a 6 shooter and about 6 seconds to fire those rounds off. You’d have to ban them all to even make a dent. And I do think that’s a good idea
