1ºWhat we SHOULD Have learned by now concerning the mass shootings that take place at our schools...
Testing our youth while in school and throughout the education tenure to identify issues as they start.
Then counseling and or isolating those few if there are deeper issues or chemical imbalances at play... it should be warranted given the number of these incidents we have all witnessed take place.
Security trained in protecting the innocent at the main entrances or outside in stations along with keycard electronic doors at all the entry points.
Problem solved.
If we can send $40,000,000,000.00 to Ukraine (after they have already received $18,000,000,000.00), we can afford to equip our schools with enough security to ensure the safety of our most vulnerable.
Rather, we cannot afford NOT to do this... not in this era we find ourselves deeply seated.
This isn't a gun ownership issue.
Gun rights don't even come into play here.
That anti-gun ownership rhetoric makes zero sense... removing weapons from the sane law-abiding citizens will never stop the evil ones from obtaining the weapons they use.
That is a fact. Indisputable fact.
You can write laws until you lose your fingertips typing them up, and you will never stop the evil... evil NEVER follows or respects the law unless the law can be used to their advantage.
In MY book, this is a lack of protection and fortification issue.
The fact that the protection/fortification issue is never brought up and incidents like this are used SOLELY to start some kind of talk about gun rights is literally a heinous misdirection ploy to politicize rather than to solve the lack of protection and fortification of our learning institutions.
It is gross negligence to avoid that protect and fortify solution in favor of garnering liberal votes and damning those who chose to exercise their 2nd amendment rights. (MANY Democrats actually DO own firearms and agree with my stance)
Don't let the tragedy become a politicized leverage issue, use that sorrow to demand protection and fortification... our kids deserve it.
Wouldn't you agree?
Or should we keep blaming the blameless legal, sane legitimate gun owners while someone else gets a screw loose in their mind and does this again?
And then what?
More talk?
Don't YOUR kids deserve protection while they are not in your care?
Or, are you ok with the politicians using them as pawns every time this happens?
When are we going to realize that our children deserve to be protected?
2ºJust tell them the truth..We have wicked and evil people in our Country .Maybe teach them how to protect themselves .Sad our children are going through this .A sick Republican said there is nothing we can do about shootings .That's a lie .They choose not to do something ..We need better gun laws .I'm sad and was happy .I saw a baby in a mother's arms yesterday and one this morning in the news Thinking what is their future going to look like ..Our rights and lives and freedom is in danger as long as Republicans have power because they only care about is their worship of guns and big Money and Power. Yet want to screw the American people .They are not for the American people for sure not for our children in our Country .Look how many Republicans didn't care to keep our children safe from Covid .They did not say one word or do a thing when they knew Trump knew and lied and called covid a hoax..They have blood on their hands .This is on them..Do the right thing and change the gun laws .We need better gun control..Our children should be safe while they are in schools we also need to know that Americans that go shopping can be safe too..Republicans are not Pro Life .They are fakes lying to themselves and to their supporters .That's right they don't care about your kids either It was McConnell that said there is nothing we can about school shootings .Your guy said that .A Republican said children are Exception Sacrifice to the second amendment..Think about that one. .Time to vote these worthless people in the Republican party out ..VoteBlue ..
3ºI was a Soldier for 32 years. I was issued a M4 Rifle (the same basic rifle as an AR15) to go target practice, in a very controlled manner. We would return those weapons back into our armory in an even more controlled manner. I was never allowed to take it home, and the only time I kept it was when I was sent to war, to kill. Yet, in America, specially in Texas, an 18 years old can purchase two AR15s, all the ammunition he wants, take them anywhere he wants, and do whatever his mind tells him to do, without any control from the society, family or authorities. If anyone thinks this is exactly what we need to be as a society, eventually, we will become each other’s victims. The only people trying to protect our children are the American Public Schools Teacher: “Trying to save the children that American Racism, Sexism, and Classism are trying to destroy!! Tell me again about American Superheroes!!” If you expect Republicans to care for children getting killed, the same Republicans that have attacked our Capital to destroy our democracy and constitution, keep waiting!
4ºMy grandson, who is in middle school, had a friend who sent out a message to his friends, with a picture of himself holding an assault rifle, and stating “Watch out at school tomorrow!!” He did not say anything to his parents, but as soon as he got to school the next morning, he immediately told his home room teacher. The school immediately shut down, and the student was brought in to the school’s principal. Nothing happened that day, other than the student was expelled. He thought it was just a joke️ I’m so proud my grandson had the courage to inform the school.
5ºDave Nitz we hardened the schools, which is a good step, but not enough. We put armed resource officers in some schools, but that didn’t stop it. We have trained swat teams but that didn’t help. I don’t know one good reason why anyone in this country would need an assault style rifle or thousands of rounds of ammunition. Maybe someone does, and we could make exceptions, but no 18 year old unemployed kid needs to have one. So they shouldn’t be sold. Machine guns aren’t sold. Hand grenades are not sold. Stop selling ammo that can pierce through anything! Why are you so invested in keeping these weapons on the street. I bet you don’t have kids that you have to drop off and hope for the best.
6ºAlan Irvin I have no bias. Grew up in Pennsylvania hunting . Enlisted at 17 , went to Vietnam at 19. I know what it’s like to carry have to carry a weapon for defense. I also know that doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is crazy. I know that saying “ usually people who call for common sense gun laws can’t define common sense and don’t know gun laws “ means , you lack an open mind . How many people have you talked to , that you could come to that conclusion? You are not and never will be all ears.
7ºThe only way to stop the sale of weapons of war in this country is to KEEP STORIES OF SCHOOL SHOOTINGS ACTIVE IN THE NEWS CYCLE. Its time to demand the photos of these children be released to the public - every gruesome, horrific, appalling one. First hand accounts. Videos with the screams and the gunshots. People need to understand what is happening. News networks are quick to sanitize and make this situation palatable. THIS IS BARBARBIC! THIS IS INTOLERABLE! Every American need to feel what these parents felt - the fear - the devastation - the ANGER. If you are like me and feel helpless - THERE IS SOMETHING YOU CAN DO. Post the kids pictures EVERY day until politicians realize that we aren't going to forget. Don't allow your friends, coworkers or family to forget. These babies should not die in vain.

9ºJennifer Lee EXACTLY what I told my son to do to the TEE girl.....Do NOT be in the line of fire....I couldn't believe he sat down and watched the Columbine documentary all on his own and he had so many questions about why and how this keeps happening.....He was in he same school district as Parkland when that happened it just wasn't his school and he's terrified now with Al this going on....One of the Columbine kids also said the only way he survived was to play dead....They don't want to shoot something already down so be quiet don't move a muscle and once it's clear run for your LIFE HIDE do WHATEVER it takes to get home to me....He keeps his cell phone on him at all times....he will be 14 in July and I'm so scared for him....Smh it's so sad this has to be taught to our children to survive another child's rage
10ºGrief Counselors is BS, no situation in this country ever arises where evil govt and the "aggressor left" misses the chance to impress upon you that you simply cannot survive without the instruction and infinite wisdom of govt and its left wing indoctrination corps! Folks , shelter within your family, extended family or your churches, but do not allow govt agencies or "leftist so-called Help Groups" to influence your future actions in any way !
