Of course.....Mental healthcare in the US is a cruel joke. If one doesn't have a platinum healthcare insurance policy or lots of disposable cash good luck. Prison and homelessness is the general response to mental illness in the US and no one wants to do a thing to change it. If we tried to provided healthcare to those who need it conservatives would scream "socialism"... and that's why we are 33rd and falling in healthcare and even worse when it comes to treating mental illness. The right and their media propaganda machine have convinced Americans that more guns and less access to healthcare are good things for a society


Susan Marie Every county does. Red flag law isn't necessary. What you fail to see is red flag doesn't include law enforcement having actually encountered the individual to warrant a flag. Red flag can easily be abused by petty people, kind of like swatting. I could call the police and say you made a threat with a gun and the cops roll up on your house and raid you and rip through your house taking anything they find. We would have never needed to speak I can just make the call. You need proof before you send police and red flag law doesn't need any.
