Scottish ancestry. What a good revelation. Was the wine for communion or general consumption? So George Washington's family lines had business relationships with Stuarts so a branch of merchants. Was the wine blessed? So Washington's father was very English and important as well in England. Thanks Stuarts for reveling the truth about George Washington Family lines. English civil wars may have prevented him from attending Oxford resulting in the other path. It appears Stuarts were helping economically some families in the Colonies in hopes of creating a better England. For whatever reason Washington cut ties but did his family? Did the merchant relationship remain? Maybe Stuarts were the first to use the technique of economics to shape the future. Gilbert Stuart did Washington's painting. Hope the Stuart's receive a bottle of that wine. Celebration is long over due. Sounds like a dinner event in order to tell the stories the real ones. Are there any stamps showing all that will have to explore both sides of the pond ones? A stamp history of Stuart to Washington something needful and good. Did some research Legge is a priest family in England. Wine was likely blessed. Edward Legge (1767 – 27 January 1827) was an English churchman and academic. He was the Bishop of Oxford from 1816 and Warden of All Souls College, Oxford, from 1817. seventh son of William Legge, 2nd Earl of Dartmouth and Frances Catherine Nicoll.[ vicar of Lewisham. canon of Stall XI at Canterbury Cathedral from 1797 to 1802[6] Royal Chaplain... So Stuarts were fostering Church of England wines
