1ºOf course each President nominates people that have similar or identical views on a variety of subjects. Regardless each of Former President Trump's Nominations, which now are a Supreme Court Justices, were voted on under the Senate RULES that were current at the time. Harry Ried changed the rules so the Senate during the Obama Administration so that Former President Obama could get his nominations for the LOWER COURTS seats could be filled. Now when the Republicans gained Majority it was wrong but NOT ILLEGAL to not give Garland a Senate hearing for Obama's nomination to succeed Scalia when he died. Yet he let Trump have his weeks before the 2020 election. Roe V. Wade I didn't agree with but I didn't want it to be overturned. One could say yes because of President Trump it was overturned. I don't see why it was "Illegal" for President Trump to make Justice Amy Barrett a nominee to the Supreme Court. Republicans had Majority of the Senate until they concluded the session. Flip Side to that coin is Democrats can do the same thing to a republican President by not letting him or her to make a nomination during a election year. Or they could rush one in for President Biden IF Democrats gain majority this election year if Biden does make a 2nd run for the Oval Office.

4ºTom Biggert I do not subscribe to that. I believe in voting based on the person not the color and I say so often to people who say vote blue no matter who. I abhor straight ticket party voting, and believe people need to know who they are voting for and specify it. If you only vote color your candidate may not make it on the ticket. Yes, even if there is only Republican candidates for a position, I vote for who I think is the best one. So, I do and have crossed the aisle if not given a choice of a Democrat or Republican. Don't assume all Democratic voters think alike, because not all Republican voters think alike either. Many times, here we only have Republicans running against each other for a seat. As we have seen in Sinema and Manchin, not all Democrat candidates are the ones you want. Straight ticket voting based on party alone is how bad candidates stay in office on both parties.
