1ºBack in 2007, when George Floyd was 35 years old, he was the leader of a robbery where he and a gang of men forcefully entered a pregnant woman’s house. A clever scheme was thought out beforehand. To encourage the woman to open her door Floyd would pose as a water department worker. He dressed in a blue shirt to emulate the outfit of a worker, he then knocked on the woman’s door. The plan worked and she opened the door, but she realized quickly that Floyd wasn’t from the water department. She tried to close the door but George Floyd grabbed hold of it and held on. As he stood holding the door open, a Ford Explorer van with five of Floyd’s friends pulled up to the house. This, of course, was part of the plan, and they rushed the property. Once they had entered the house one of the robbers pulled out a gun and pointed it towards the woman’s pregnant stomach. As this was going on, Floyd started to search the house looking drugs, money, or jewelry.

So, why are you twisting the truth... the attempt to arrest him did not have anything to do with prior conviction. In fact, there was no proof of counterfeit.

Chauvin is merely a snapshot shot or symptom of a system that is highly predatory in nature absent of ANY inclination towards "and justice for all" .
It just so happened that cameras were rolling and the depraved inhumanity and brutal subjugation and killing was broadcast worldwide.
We couldn't simply shrug our shoulders and look away from the reality.
This does not make it OK; it does not mean we "shake hands and let's just be friends and forget the past". It does not remove the stench within Law Enforcement.
Remember; Injustice Anywhere breeds Injustice Everywhere and the story of the hunt will always glorify the hunter UNTIL the day that he is decapitated.
4ºJet Stream Jay because you implied it. This post was about his murderer. Not about George Floyd's guilt or innocence. Your comment was to excuse what happened BECAUSE he was a criminal. If it wasn't? You would have clarified that in your comment. You started something with the intention of making something out of nothing. And I, and others, simply called you out on it. Whether or not he was actually a criminal? Isn't the issue with this case. Like I said, I would have preferred he was prosecuted for the criminal he was. Just like I want his murderer and accomplices prosecuted fully. See how plainly stating opinions work? I would have preferred to fully agree and react accordingly, had you fully expressed that? Just because he was a criminal? Didn't make what was done to him ok. Again, that's why fully understanding the point of the story is critical. If you didn't mean to imply differently? 6ºCasey Sawyer Two autopsy reports — one by a private medical examiner commissioned by Floyd’s family and another by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner — reached the same conclusion: that Floyd died of homicide, meaning death at the hands of someone else. But the medical examiner report also highlighted that Floyd suffered from other “significant conditions,” such as fentanyl intoxication and recent methamphetamine use. These latter conditions are what the defense is using to argue that Chauvin is not responsible for Floyd’s death.
On Friday, Hennepin County chief medical examiner Andrew Baker, who performed the county autopsy, took the stand. In documents last year, Baker described the “fatal level of fentanyl” in Floyd’s system and told federal investigators that if the victim was “found dead at home alone and no other apparent causes, this could be an acceptable overdose.” Baker also cautioned, “I am not saying this killed him.”
During cross examination, Baker clarified further. When the defense asked Baker whether fentanyl could have caused the abrasions on Floyd’s lung that were revealed during the autopsy, Baker said that underlying health conditions were “contributing” and not “direct causes” of Floyd’s death. “In my opinion, the law enforcement, subdual restraint, and the neck compression was just more than Mr. Floyd could take by virtue of those heart conditions,” Baker said.
