Aaron Holt civilisation is a slow process. There are many things that are traditional that are now not practiced because they are barbaric.
You can still teach about tradition.
In England we use to chop peoples' heads off and send children up chimneys; we used to torture people... we don't any more because it is wrong. I suppose you would argue?
In some countries, it is traditional to stone people to death or amputate limbs to punish them... is that important to keep because it is a tradition?
Sometimes a tradition becomes outdated and we grow up and become civilised because completely needless suffering for our entertainment represents the worst of our humanity.
Empathy grows your humanity.
Arrogance separates you from becoming civilised.

Lizzie Bristow you said in England we used to. Which would indicate that you are English. LOL

I'm reading what you write I'm sry that you wrote that you are English.

When did I say it was racial? You are the one calling people barbaric.

You Said that the tradition is uncivilized and compared it to stoning , torture and the chopping off of body parts.

You made those comparisons while ignoring the difference between stoning a human being for a crime and running with a bull.

So you can pretend that I am calling you racists but I never wrote that. I simply restated what you said. Just that what you said sounds a bit... like you think your better than the people who participate in this tradition.

Other cultures are different. Millions of cows die each year for burgers. We can let 10 bulls run with the crowd.

And if you don't like it don't go. Don't watch and don't eat beef.
