Kimberly Sanders King I'm American and agree with you. He should pay a fine for not following the rules. Good thing he wasn't in North Korea or Russia because he would have been jailed for life. Every time you see someone disrespecting a national park or monument in another country, it sadly is an American. Will never forget the American hikers at Machu Pichu in Perú when they decided to defecate on the trails by the ancient ruins were it said do not enter, and it was a temple. They had just passed the bathrooms apparently but got to lazy to walk back. Same thing happened in Thailand inside a temple, also Americans.
For some reason our people think we can get away being disrespectful to others with no consequences and by this we show no values. Its embarrassing.

Debi Oliver I worked on the Pirates of the Caribbean. One day I came in to find the ride just restarting after a shutdown and everyone very rattled. Why? Some dumb-dumb’s kid started getting upset about the talking skull above the first drop, and that clever clogs picked up their kid and set them on the ledge BESIDE the water. Outside of the boat. I’m glad it was an emergency exit ledge, so it was wide enough that the danger was just bad and not horrifying. One of my coworkers was able to grab the keys and run backstage to free the kid (while the ride was on an emergency stop, which can cause it to break down, but at least nobody would get hurt). Takes several minutes to get to that spot though, where the kid was trapped near the talking skull but unable to cling to their parent, so the kid was almost catatonic be the time he was rescued and had to be carried out.
