Why do you think the citizens in "large urban areas" are any different - and less important - than the citizens in rural areas?
I've lived in both - I was born and raised in one of the states you named - and I haven't found this distinction you're making about American citizens to be true...
... especially not in a way that justifies making the votes of rural citizens worth more than those of urban citizens.
Besides, the distinction is actually between populated states and unpopulated states, since most states with large urban centers are also rife with rural areas. California is the nation's largest producer of agricultural products.
In 2022, can these prejudicial distinctions be justified? America has, over the years, discarded many of the blatantly unfair categories that existed at the time of the Founding Fathers.
As I explained, Americans already dispensed with one form of federal safeguarding with the 17th Amendment, so it's perfectly plausible to dispense with another.

Obama with his green energy regulations sent our companies packing to other countries that had no restrictions. Why do you think China became number one , because of joe and Obama. Trump was 100 x worse than Biden. At least Biden ended the Republican War Machine that 3 former Presidents couldn’t. Saving countless of veterans lives. Any president today would of struggled, Covid caused our economy and gas shortage. Other factors like the war in Ukraine doesn’t help. Trumps denial of Covid and the vaccine also caused the lock up to last longer than needed. A peaceful transfer of power would helped

Joe Biden cannot read a Teleprompter without screwing up, and that’s being recognized by people in his own party. He has killed our economy and if you think he is doing a great job, you do suffer from cognitive distortions. You know nothing about me, my FB page is private. Look into a mirror, there is true hypocrisy. Go away and sit back and watch our beautiful country being destroyed by communist Democrats. And if you read this article, as usual, a "source" says, not the officer. The secret service agents are waiting to be cslked, they have not of course. And note from the article "CLARIFICATION: This story has been updated to clarify the type of vehicle in which the reported incident between Trump and his Secret Service detail took place." This has to be said because the testimony under OATH given by Hutchinson who assumed what vehicle Trump was in was wrong, because it is a story. The actual agents in the vehicle knew he was not in the Beast, so would not have said the Beast. And again are waiting for the committee to call them to testify. Yet they come up with a "source" not the officer himself to testify about this issue. Just like the bs with the laptop. They said and media published, not true, Russian misinformation, but it absolutely is true and media has now said so, this one included.

Are we not ALL equally Americans? Why do these arbitrary lines drawn on a map of the United States - these outdated state identities in the age of greater mobility - make some people's votes worth more than the votes of other Americans, simply based on where one happens to live at any given time?
If YOUR political purposes weren't served by this system, would you think it was the fair way to value American votes in 2022?
If you took Civics 101, then you understand the explicitly non-democratic motives of the Founding Fathers. We've dismantled other "safeguards" they put in place to prevent the masses from directly affecting the federal government, so why not continue? In the name of equality for Americans from ALL the states.

Example Biden released a huge amount of our oil reserve to help lower gas cost. Democrats in the House passed a bill to add an excess profit tax on oil companies. It is being held up in the senate by a hold put on bill by republicans Biden called all the big oil company executives into his office and chewed them out. Gas is falling in cost after the Biden meeting. Why are Republicans holding up placing excess profit tax on corporations? The last time that was done corporations cut product costs instead of paying excess profit tax. [look it up] Hint Clinton
9ºPete Mitchell I understand that completely. I also understand that you told people to go look at local news affiliates for the truth…which I did. And the truth is that 1) Trump is lying again (totally expected) because most of the 453 miles of wall that he says has been built has actually been repairs to barriers that already existed and 2) the federal government granted contracts to build a wall on land that they haven’t acquired which is costing taxpayers millions.
So don’t come at me with your big Texas attitude because you got what you asked for. It’s not my fault that you did and continue to fall for Trump’s line of s**t. But if it provides any solace to you, there are still many just like you who are gullible.

Well, clearly I did learn it. Both in the 10th grade and in law school.
And I'm making an argument against it. Much as arguments were made in favor of the 17th Amendment (1913), allowing state voters to directly elect their U.S. Senators.
The 17th Amendment changed the methodology established by the Constitution for electing U.S. Senators. They were previously chosen by state legislatures. American citizens only voted directly for their Representatives - who had much shorter terms and less individual power.
The Electoral College was another safeguard against the direct voting of U.S. citizens for their federal representation. Why should we put up with that in 2022? One citizen, one vote!
