Pepsi is making big money on smaller portions

The biggest trend in snacking is something small: Chip bags and sodas are going mini.

Mostly what you buy is extra air and less product. None of these companies are losing during all this. They pass the pain to the consumers by knocking off 1/2 ounce here or there, shrinking size, or putting less items in a container but at the same time raising the prices 20% to 30% or higher. You hear the consumer controls the price. Hog wash, there are items the consumer has to have and has to pay regardless and those things they don't need you are seeing them pass it up. Bottom line, companies won't lose and will maintain or gain profit, but will try giving the poor mouth speech of barely making it.

Diet Pepsi drinker here! I recently had an MPerks virtual coupon from Meijer mobile app advertising to save $6 if I bought at least $17 in carbonated beverages. Since Pepsi products in the 6 packs of 16.9 ounce bottles were on sale, I couldn’t justify buying more just to make it to the $17 with as heavy as my cart would’ve been and I don’t buy soda pop in cans. So I bought 4 of the 8 packs of 12 ounce Diet Pepsi bottles at full price which put me above the $17 threshold and I got the $6 off. I regret nothing!
