1ºMark Lundgren you must be a scientist! A climatologist? Seriously though, yes, it's summer. I am well aware. I've worked outside everyday for the last 20 years. In no summer ever do I remember temperatures well into the 90s for 2 weeks at a time in the Philadelphia area. We might get three in a row, maybe for, never once has it been over 90 for 2 weeks. 99 this coming Sunday. I'm not a global warming believer or anything like that, but shut the hell up already with the it's just summer, because it's not a normal f****** summer
2ºJared Purgatorio first let’s tell the whole story. Biden waived the tariffs for two years but also announced the use of the Defense Production Act to boost US production. This greatly helps US industries and does not destroy them. Solar panels are now almost 25 times more efficient and wind turbines generate almost 3 times more energy than early models. Can you send me link about natural gas lines being cancelled. You asked a lot about questions about turbines and solar panels. But how about all the electricity used to create a gallon of gas? How about all the water that is polluted during the drilling process. Shut down drilling rigs aren’t recycled…drive through Texas and see them in residential areas. There is no comparison to green energy vs fossil fuels on the environment and the damage fossil fuels have done.
3ºThem< We’ve never had temps like these before ever. Me< oh yes we did and worse. Trouble is we were young and didn’t feel it like the older generation does. I remember mom saying how hot it was and going to be and turning on the air. I felt just fine and didn’t want that. Of course I was an outdoor kinda kid, we all were back then. And don’t give me records. Records only account for the last 100 years or so. We weren’t here nor took measurements 3,4,500 years or even thousands of years ago. So they can stuff that back in their hat of tricks. Think about it…. Gas prices out of control, green new deals make no sense, control of weather and they admitted it, electric cars that are unreliable being pushed, cost of batteries, selling of the cobalt processing plant, no chips to be found for gas powered cars operating systems but electric cars have plenty and no shortage of silicon for anything else that needs a chip, an unreliable grid that can’t support electric cars en mass, 8 major coal train derailments in last month and a half. Need I keep going? All the while they know we have a way for everyone to have free power in each home and won’t let us have it. Yes it’s called “zero point energy” and it’s amazing. Now who’s lying and just trying to switch the money making playing field. We’re caught in the crossfire. One word…Oligarchs! They control everything and that’s who’s responsible for everything going on right now!!

Electricity is used to drill for oil, used to extract oil as pumps run 24x7x365, oil is heated by electricity to be pumped by electricity over pipelines, a huge amount electricity is used to refine oil to gas, electricity is used to pump refined gas through pipelines and into tankers, etc.
You totally missed my point, as less gas is needed because of EVs, less electricity will needed to refine gas.
Texas uses much more electricity than California that has 33% more population because Texas needs so more electricity to obtain and refine gas. That is a fact.
