You are correctly identifying what data they have.
How is it though that you failed to take into account the actual science behind how monkeypox is transmitted? Do you think that it has evolved into an STD and abandoned its rather efficient means of transmission up to now? Do you think that that the virus has changed itself so that it becomes something that is only ever going to be in the gay community, and it’s only ever going to be spread by gay men through sexual activity?
That is silly and dangerous thinking.
The data that they have comes from the gay community because those men have learned to report strange rashes. Their data is much more solid than in other communities where people might ignore such things. Since the stigma right now is that if you have a rash like this you must have been engaged in sexual activity with a gay man, a lot of people aren’t going to report it. That means it will spread blindly in other communities.
All of this emphasis does nothing more than endanger other communities. I don’t know why you’re all insisting on it so strongly. It’s a ridiculous cutting off of your nose to spite your face.

Why this insistence on stigmatizing the LGBT community instead of dealing with a contagious disease?
The WHO has addressed the matter. They have said that, yes, most of the data on monkeypox has come through gay men (that's where a major outbreak started) but that it is NOT an STD and it absolutely can spread through other communities.
The data is concentrated among gay/bi men, because these folks have learned to stay on top of their health and report symptoms faster than other communities.
Therefore monkeypox can easily be spreading blindly elsewhere in the population, but the data is revealed mostly in that one demographic.

Somebody like you is the reason this woman said what she said because she's scared to death of offending delusional people like yourself, I don't suffer from her issues, I'll tell the truth whether you like it or not and if you don't ask me if I give a flying f@ck. The truth is this is a STD moving through the gay male community because of irresponsibility and promiscuousness. I'm not against ANYONE BECAUSE I TELL THE TRUTH, the truth doesn't care what you think or whether it offends you, it's the truth. So when you can show it's spreading at a rate greater than 1% outside of the gay community then it will remain a STD primarily affecting the gay community. I'm not gay so therefore I don't give a sh#t, and if this community wasn't gay I still wouldn't give a sh#t because it's affecting irresponsible people primarily. Has nothing to do with being gay, has everything to do with a total lack of responsibility to one self and others. Period.

It CAN be transmitted sexually.
But it doesn't need to be.
The danger is that people are so delighted to point fingers at the gay community and say "I'm not worried, because I'm not one of THOSE" that they overlook the problem of monkeypox not being at all limited to sexual transmission.
"The masses" that you're talking about is really a dataset. Gay/Bi men have learned to take care of their health and report things like rashes, so they have been contributing decent data on monkeypox.
Meanwhile in non-gay communities, the rashes and the transmissions are not being reported as much, and the spread is blind. No data doesn't mean no spread.
I hope like hell you waited. I hope you figure out that all your glee over the impact in the gay/bi community might be blinding you to the real issue presented by monkeypox. And I hope you stop spreading misinformation.

The monkeypox virus spreads from person to person through:

Extended close contact (more than four hours) with respiratory droplets from an infected person. This includes sexual contact.
Clothes, sheets, blankets or other materials that have been in contact with rashes or body fluids of an infected person.
An infected pregnant person can spread the monkeypox virus to a fetus.
