Carl Falcione You get that if there wasn't a Federal Law that slavery would still be wrong and a violation of fundamental human rights, you do understand that right? Yes we need a Federal Law protection abortion because there are evil people out there who want to hurt women, but we don't need a law to say it's evil to risk people's lives to turn them into breeding stock. It is nothing more than a growing cluster of cells hardly different from a tumor. If the mother wishes to grow it into a future human that's wonderful and her choice to make. Even at that you can not make someone sacrifice their body to extend the life of another. If I was the only compatible organ donor for someone who was dying the state can't force me to give them my organs. Even if my choice affects them it is still 100% to do w my body as I choose

Lance Yoder I had a friend that had 3 abortions within 2 years. This was before plan b was available. When plan b became available at the pharmacy counter, she ate them like candy, but had to go to different pharmacies each time cause it put up a red flag. This was like 15 years ago. When I asked, why not just use a condom, she said it doesn't feel the same. So yes, women are using abortion as birth control. I know many women like her. Some of the women I know say that abortion gives them power. The power to decide on life. And that's just sick.

I find it really interesting that those of you who were against the decision on abortion that the justices sent back to the states to decide, wanted to oust those Justices because of their decision. You condemned them, threated them causing them to fear for their lives because of their decision and votes based on the democratic rule of law. Majority rules. Now you are gloating because you went to the poles to vote on states abortion rights that was also based on the democratic process. What this shows is how vile and hateful you can become when decisions don’t go the way you want them to, and as far as you are concerned, you could care less about democracy. It is you who are the hypocrites when it comes to wanting to take away democracy, not the republicans.

Joseph Vincienne Incorvaja Huh? Do you have a burning bush in your back yard? I'm a devout Christian. The path of Christ is love. I see nothing in Christ's teaching that even talks about abortion. But he spoke often about how the hardness of our hearts and the use of the laws to abuse our fellow humans was an abomination. My denomination teaches that abortion is a great tragedy that women choose to avoid another tragedy. Our job as Christians isn't to beat them up. Our job is to love them. And if we truly want to make abortion as rare as possible, I would suggest supporting universal Healthcare and childcare.

Νικος Σταθοπουλος you benefit from the socialized programs your country offers. You don’t get to pick and choose who benefits or in what way. And yes, when I vote it is a vote for what programs the taxes I pay go to. You aren’t going to convince me that you’re right and vice versa. I don’t get involved in the private decisions of others. BTW, I also don’t care that tax dollars go to welfare programs in my country. If we are going to force women to have babies they can’t afford it’s inevitable that more money will go to that. We’ll just agree to disagree.

Νικος Σταθοπουλος and you do realize those routinely fail, right? Condoms alone, the least invasive, with typical use can have a 17% failure rate (according to one resource I looked at) and no I am not equating abortion to welfare I’m simply stating that while your tax dollars might not go to abortion they can go toward the result of banning or limiting abortions. It’s all connected. I think the better conversation that ‘I don’t like my money paying for that’ is what policies can we put into place that will help minimize unwanted pregnancies and by extension abortions, but most people I interact with don’t actually want to have that conversation.

Heather Goodwin Vilhauer I can think of something else that you all should keep outta your vaginas that would solve a whole mess of problems....BUT THAT IS YOUR PREROGATIVE, voluntarily killing a baby is not!

The terms elective abortion and voluntary abortion are defined by Williams Obstetrics as "the interruption of pregnancy before viability at the request of the woman, but not for medical reasons."

92% (Guttmacker)-95% (FLA, account) of US abortions are considered elective abortions. According to a 2019 Gallup poll, 53% of U.S. adults believe abortion should be legal "only under certain circumstances," far more than the 25% who favor it being legal with no restrictions and the 21% who think it should be completely illegal. Of this 53%, only 13% think abortion should be legal under most circumstances and 39% thing abortion should be legal only under a few circumstances. So, all in all, 38% of Americans feel that abortions should be legal in all or most circumstances and 61% feel that abortion should be legal in only a few circumstances or illegal in all. 2% have no opinion. https://news.gallup.com/p...gal-limits.aspx

Brad McCulloch The bible teaches that "life" is vitality of the body and mind: the soul, appetite, desire, emotion, passion, that which breathes, that with life in the blood.
Luk 1:31
You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus.

Jeremiah 1:5
5 i“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
and before you were born jI consecrated you;
I appointed you a prophet kto the nations.”

Psalm 139:13
13 For you eformed my inward parts;
you fknitted me together in my mother’s womb.

Psalm 139:16
16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your jbook were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.

Bob Reap you do realize the Constitution is written to limit the power of government and not limit the power of the people? Why do you think Democrats are always attacking the Constitution and why is the 2nd Amendment is always the one they go after? In England you can't own firearms, and they are arresting people because a social media post offended someone. Is that the world you want to live in? I don't think in absolutes, but I do think our rights, which are GUARANTEED, in the Constitution are absolute. That seems to be the difference between us, I see what the government is doing and you believe what the government is telling you. Maybe you should live in a country where you don't have Rights, just permissions from the government.
