They simply pay him to use his image to promote their product and pay him him millions to do so. Here is a simple explanation a big corporate company like Nike negotiates manufacturing with a big corporate company in China who says that they could do it for cheap. They both sign a deal because the greedy corporate American company wants to increase their bottom line. Big corporate American company then makes a deal with Lebron the Superstar to promote their products and pays him big money. That big money pales in comparison to what Big corporate American company pockets which is in the billions. Don’t hate the man, hate the game. Thats capitalism, its the American way and precedes Lebron’s birth date. The one’s controlling corporate in America created this dinosaur. Lebron is just surfing it straight to the bank. Don’t hate on something you were not able to do and attack the real problem however I understand that Lebron is an easier target for you.

And if not, how about this one....do you feel any type of way when those 1 percent owners get tax payers to help them build their shiny billion dollar toys (arenas/stadiums), so they can entertain other 1 percenters? How about this one.... Would you turn down what your owner wants to give you in pay because "people are struggling financially and many children are going hungry", just so you can struggle and your own kids can go hungry? Plus, most people are not willing to do the work it takes to be a professional athlete. It’s not just a game. It’s a profession. Not everyone that plays the game of basketball or any professional sport qualifies to be a professional. What separates them is the extreme work and effort put in to be a professional. When a professional athlete is training, most folk are chilling. And if you’re making chump change, you’re likely not putting any work during your off hours to improve upon the work you do. You only see the game, you don’t see the additional hours of training they put in.

9ºIt’s crazy how many people complain about how much money athletes make, yet say nothing about the amount of money the owners, who do nothing , make to be able to pay said athletes. Do you know the amount of sacrifice, training, discipline it takes to become an average professional athlete, let alone one of the upper echelon of the elite? Please stop it with the hate. Doctors, teachers, paramedics, etc., who are employed by the top tier institutions in their field, who generate hundreds of millions of dollars, are definitely well paid. If an owner makes billions of dollars a year, why shouldn’t the athletes that fans pay to see be well paid as well?
