Albeit, we have a large Asian immigration population, alongside our South American population. But we carry part of the burden and we provide jobs and housing and support services for them. Many women and children separated at the Southern Boarder back in 2017, were shipped up here to be detained in facilities provided by a Liberal state. Soooooooo….
I’m not saying there isn’t work to be done, but it’s not a failing on Liberal states.
2ºRazi Hamid it was once a long time ago that religion was where you went to get supported when you were at your lowest and get help. But I guess Mother Teresa is one of the last of the greats. Living her religion and faith in her every day life and inspiring others to do the same. Religion to these folks nowadays is something to preach but not live by. Trump and his upside Bible is the perfect example. Personally, I feel it will drive more people away from the church and especially young people. Those that stay will just be cultists. The rest of us can still do God’s work as it should be done, with love and acceptance and compassion. Let’s hope Beto has a chance to save Texas.
3ºLeft the world illegal out. And last I recall the DC mayor has been begging for the National Guard for quite some time now regarding this but she has been turned down every time. Personally I say keep sending them to all the SANCTUARY CITIES since they supported it during Trump and was against Trump for wanting a secure border, and definitely send them to DC until DC can’t handle it anymore.
All the Democrats wanted a open border during Trump, they protested at the border twice during Trump, they wanted to do away with ICE and the border patrol, they demanded Trump to let illegal immigrants in by the high thousands claiming they were seeking asylum when there was nothing going on for them to run from and no purpose to seek asylum, and they were against securing the border/wall and funding the border patrol. So yes I say send everyone possible/illegal immigrant to all the sanctuary states and flood DC out with them.
4ºRemember not too long ago while American Soldiers slept in a garage and we're given spoiled food while most schools were closed while businesses were closed while people had lost their homes while travel restrictions were in place, while Americans couldn't travel by plane without being screened and given a covid test (but not illegal immigrants they can cross over anytime and go anywhere without restrictions), while we're in the middle of pandemic Joe Biden's Administration rolled back all of effective the policies that Trump had the remain in Mexico the wall the Asylum requirements and now we have this crisis, he is allowing thousands a day to pass through the border....that's going to effect the poor communities the most that's why the elitists mainly liberal don't care. Trump had effective policies, that's why it stopped and that's what it's about right now this is outrageous and it's going to get even worse 87 million dollars went to people who aren't even American citizens and and a measly $1,400 you got in stimulus and by the way millions of people were cut out of this so-called rescue package that they passed because they changed the requirements and included illegal immigrants in also receiving those stimulus checks. Your hard earned taxpayer dollars. Sick of this.

6ºJason Biggers So, you seem to assume that the legal definition of human trafficking is strictly defined by whether the person is "happy" to go where they're going.
Does human trafficking of people strictly mean moving them from one place to another via a non-legal mechanism? For example, "coyotes" taking people across the border for money... are they human traffickers if this is their sole act (no coercion, no forced labor, etc.)? If the people crossing are "happy" to leave the situation in their home country to arrive in what they hope is a better situation?
Maybe he learned it from Obama, sure. Does it make it any less human trafficking? Wonder what the courts say.

Then where are all the daily videos coming from showing people, mostly all men, coming into our country past the wall Trump had started putting up, that Biden stopped work on. Then where are the videos coming from that the news stations are putting out about the people coming across our open borders being bussed or flown across the states & being put in hotels, homeless shelters, apartments, etc. That the governors of new York & a few other states are complaining about & even the new York times has done stories on this stuff. The fentenyl crisis is coming in thru our open borders from Mexico that is killing so many people in our country the last 2 years. Fox news channels, oan, & Newsmax news channels do stories on how bad this is every day & every once in awhile its mentioned by CNN, msnbc or a local news channel. Just because you havent heard it yet doesnt mean its not true. Just depends where you get your news from.
8ºThere are a few things required for a sanctuary city to actually work. No American city is actually set up to actually work.
Transportation and zoning need to be able to accommodate the influx of people.
Resource distribution needs to be able to handle the usage volume. Power, water, sewer.
They require housing that makes use of the above points.
They'll need work in proximity to their habitation zone. They have families to feed - is the zone near jobs? Is it near stores?
The people need to be able to acclimate to the new environment - can they enroll in education services that are nearby? English as a second language, citizenship classes. Are these made available? Health services, daycare, schools?
Everybody wants the American dream, and very often, people in these positions are willing to commit due diligence to achieve that goal - if they aren't in a constant struggle just to survive. Otherwise, they'll turn to state aid and quite possibly (or even likely) crime.
Building viable and productive sanctuaries can be good for the country and the cities if they're willing to put forth the resources, manpower, and organization to make them work.
9ºAstor Schmidt the problem with that is that some of them can ditch the process, run and hide. I am in Indonesia and believe it or not, some quite well off, financially, say they have boy friends in USA, working in non formal jobs, ran out of their visa but remain there illegally. I dont think we have enough ICE agents to cover the waterfront. I can understand the need for people to get out of a despotic situation in some countries where living in hell is their reality but then, who is to cover this when they come (not knowing what per cent of them are illegal) and then it taxes the hell out of our social programs that U and I should be first in line to benefit from but..........
