No one killed anyone here. The kid drank the alcohol all by himself. No one forced anything down his throat. He wasn’t tied up and made to drink by putting a funnel in his mouth. He could have gotten up at any time and walked away. I find it ridiculous what these students will do to become part of a fraternity but they do it. Maybe we should hold the parents responsible because they apparently didn’t prepared their kids for college. If parents out there don’t think their kids who go away to college arent getting hammered every Thursday and Friday night, what planet are they living on. The students who were sentenced probably went thru the same thing when they pledged to the frat and they didn’t see anyone die. The only crime these kids were guilty of was supplying alcohol to a “minor” that being someone who for the most part under the law is an adult for just about everything you can think of but they can’t drink. What a freaking joke.

Paula O'Neil not even close. No one is forced to join a fraternity. No one is forced to do anything they say that you have to do to join a fraternity. These aren’t children. They are adults, 18 years of age and older. I’ve seen what goes on during these “hazing “ rituals. Having half a brain in my head I’m smart enough to walk by and say “No Thanks.” But even if I said “Ok, I’ll do what you ask” Im making that decision as an adult and I know Im responsible enough to make that decision. When my kids went off to college I made sure I spoke to them about fraternity’s and the “hazing” that goes on and on the dangers of alcohol. These students only took a plea to obstruction charges which is why the sentence was so light. If the prosecutor actually thought they had a case for manslaughter charges or something similar they would have never agreed to allow that lower plea. They just knew they were more then likely not going to get a conviction for felony charges and were afraid that if they went to trial those kids would be acquitted. They felt it better to allow a plea to get a conviction. Those kids might have even beat the lower charges but with a jury it’s the roll of the dice. You never know what’s going to come up plus it is hugely expensive to go from arrest to a verdict. If I was on the jury I would give a not guilty vote. It’s time people need to realize that as an adult you make your own choices and are responsible for them . This is the lowest form of bullying you can have. The kid could have easily kept on walking past that Frat house or even left it at any time. No was tying him down nor forcing him to drink. Would it be any different all those kids had just gotten and were drinking at a party and the kid drank too much and died? Would anyone really be charged?? Doubt It.

Paula O'Neil of course there are kids who didn’t drink but the drinkers out weighed the non drinkers. Again this kid wasn’t tied up. No one force him to drink. I never saw the big deal of fraternities and never even inquired about joining one. Yep I saw hazing and to me I did see it as low level abuse as I looked like it as those elders were suppose to be “your brothers “ and they made you do some crazy stuff in order to join the frat. If that’s what I would have to do then no thanks.

Aj Santana so you have a picture on your profile. “Pray for Mexico.” Why did you ask for prayer if you don’t believe in God? Why would he answer your prayers?

Matthew 7:21-23

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Aj Santana YHWH is the God of the Bible He is the God of Israel the God of Abraham,Isaac and Jacob only He is the True God and He is a Triune God meaning He exists as 3 Persons called the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit now Jesus being the Son of the Living God came to reveal Him to us so YHWH did not hide He is not hiding He's waiting for His plan to come together then Jesus will return again and everyone will realize and acknowledge that Jesus as God/YHWH in the flesh is Lord and every knee will bow to Him and those that rejected Him will mourn in regret for having rejected Him
