And if someone was there, they chose to run and not get involved. It is there choice to do so. Being a hero is not the reason I or a lot of people carry. 3ºMatthew Summers That's just a common cop out because you have a hidden agenda of keeping guns because you've been brainwashed that they're needed and with this "it's the gun not the person" fallacy. Truth is, the gun was designed from the ground up to kill. USA is the ONLY county out of 197 in the world that has mass school shootings. Guns make it very easy to kill multiple people very quickly, in multiple directions from one point, and without closing distance (even across a field in some cases). Much more effective than a vehicle or knife, which must reach each individual target before doing damage. Guns make mass killing easy. The UK had one kindergarten that got shot up, before banning guns. No schools shot up since.

5ºJoan Thompson thank you for speaking up. Your new laws need to be ammended a bit though. Parents of anyone that steals a gun and murders someone should also be imprisoned for the same time. If you have a vehicle stolen and someone gets in a wreck and kills themselves or someone else you are liable for negligent homicide for allowing some to steal your vehicle. If you are the parent of a son and he rapes someone you as the parent are responsible for any abortion charges or child support if kept. If your child is responsible for burning businesses down, you are responsible to help cover damages. People who have family members in prison should be the ones responsible for the cost of the prison, like "prison tax", that way people who are responsible and raise responsible child shouldn't have to be responsible for irresponsible people and their irresponsible parents.
6ºEnough is enough. The laws on the books aren’t working. We are experiencing weekly multiple shootings. Replace current laws with laws that make gun owners responsible for any use of their weapons. If they do not store their weapons in a reinforced gun safe and they are stolen from home or car they will be guilty of aiding and abetting any crime their gun is used to commit. Before you buy a weapon you must demonstrate you know how to maintain and safely shoot the weapon. If you have anger issues you can’t buy a weapon and must give up any weapons you own. Teachers must be mandated reporters when they hear of or observe threats and anger problems. People who own dangerous tools must be expected to protect their neighbors from being harmed by those weapons. No man is an island when it comes to tools whose only purpose is to destroy objects.
7ºOh no! Trudeau will be tabling more firearm restrictions in Canada. Our PM always uses data from other countries as evidence for stricter legislation in Canada. He isn't doing it to make Canadians safer. Trudeau does this for votes because we have a group of people in Canada who no nothing about firearms or the existing legislation. The PM is one of those people. In parliament, Trudeau said, "no one needs an AR15 to take down a deer." Existing legislation makes it illegal to take down a deer with an AR15. Trudeau is the guy pushing for gun control as a way of getting elected.
8ºIt is sad!! Guns are going to be a part of society. The problem is these kids get guns and kill. And think they can only hold me til 21. Change the laws, make these parents accountable ( in some case) cause parents need to be held accountable until age 18 then they are adults at 18 and give out more jail time also for these untouchable teenager who think they can't do long time cause they are under the age of 18. In Ohio we got a group of teenager's called the Kia Boys they are stealing Kia's & Honda's with a phone charging cord. 2 of them died in a car crash,the third one was in another crash with a back brace on from the 1st crash stolen car again. A 11 year old got caught they let him go he got caught again in another stolen car. These teenager's in Ohio is totally out of control killing each other and whoever get in their way. Robbing anytime of the day. Breaking into stores at night. New laws for juveniles is needed in America.
