Newlab Tay she was at party where others were drinking. Why would you assume her friends would make up something like that to say she was drunk? Even being buzzed is still considered drunk especially when the girl is SIXTEEN YEARS OLD.

But I'll agree one thing... people like you and i... we are speculating as well regarding to our own opinions of what happened. I'll end this with saying that the Sheriffs and other neighboring law enforcement agencies... They're all incompetent that failed to find her. They ought to be embarrassed about themselves and their department that they could not find her even if she was under their noses that it only took a small private Search Group TWO DAYS to find her.

Newlab Tay "there is friends who say she was drinking but these are same friends that did not know she left so how can you believe them"

She was drinking the entire night FFS.

Sami Smith, a friend who said she had been with Rodni for the entire evening until she left the party around 12:20 a.m., said they’d met several new people but no one who seemed suspicious. However, she noted that Rodni appeared too drunk to drive.

"At the point when I left, I thought she was going to stay there," said Smith, who departed the campground just a few minutes before Rodni was last seen. "Everybody was camping. It was late enough that she should have stayed. She’s not the type to go and drunk drive or anything."

Heather Nicole I said the same thing on another post about this yesterday and people almost lynched the hell out of me. Smh. It is what it is. Someone I knew always said "no hay muerto malo" (spanish) = no death person is "bad" (sarcasm).

Just an irresponsible teen all the sudden is such a "magical soul that should inspire everyone". SMH. I feel sorry for them but it is what it is. I, like you, was raised with rules and my mother was very strict. I never drank, did drugs or anything like that in my teenage years. I have never tried any illicit substance and rarely do social drinking.

Jim Winne the sheriff's office told them they had searched that area "extensively" their words. They have found many in other states as well. They found one in my state that was 8 years old. It was right where a lot of cars go off the road and locals said look and the sheriff's office had said had been thoroughly searched. I accept They have equipment some small departments don't but that's not true in this case. Another thing that happened here that isn't actually the sheriff's offices or state investigators fault, the family and media wanted this to be an abduction/human trafficking. Something as simple as a 16 yo was partying and had a wreck doesn't play as well in headlines.

Linda Susa Venable I'm aligned on indigenous missing persons not getting the attention needed. I'm a local. One thing that the family and close friends did almost right away, was to get fliers made, and distributed far and wide. They set up a base camp where volunteers could connect and begin searching. This is a town of about 20,000 people. Many in the community particiapted in small and big ways to help find her, get the word out about her, etc. One of the family friends also handled media. Everyone immediately got into gear to get the word out. I think that might make a difference in how things organized around #findkiely

Denise Kemp they estimated the water level at 17 feet the night of her disappearance and it was 55 feet from the shore. Not all police departments have the type of equipment these guys did and the sheriff said they did search that area but failed to locate the car. As sad as all this is she wouldn't have been able to be saved whether found the next morning or 3 weeks later but at least her family will be able to grieve and bury their daughter instead of always wondering what could have happen to her. Teenagers never think anything bad can come from partying too much.

I am grateful to all of the law enforcement agencies including Placer County Sheriff's Office, Nevada County Sheriff's Office, Truckee Police, local Search and Rescue, FBI, Adventures with Purpose and many others who made an all out effort to locate #findkiely I am also grateful to the many people who volunteered to do so many things, like post fliers, search areas; and especially the close friends of Kiely and her family. It is so very sad that the outcome has ended this way. I'm so glad for the family, their friends and all the local communities that Kiely was located. My heart goes out to all involved. Much love to family and friends. May Kiely rest in peace.
