Dennis Wiederhold That isn’t true. It’s a blanket statement that doesn’t cover all the facts. Actually there’s at least three other states that had more deaths than Florida, but since it was a virus that attacks the elderly and Florida is an elderly State it would make common sense that we would see more deaths. But see here’s the thing about Florida, we Floridians don’t need the government to tell us how to be careful. We’re smart enough to assess the information being given from the CDC in, faulty Fauci and the whole rest of the gang and determine for ourselves when we want to stay home or if we want to go out. That’s called freedom

For the third time, I do not live in NY... and the rest you posted is utterly worthless because as usual, you're just one of those special people that has a career that is so safe, you'll never need any benefits and every employer you ever worked for would never fire you under any circumstances because you're just that one in a million employee that's so valuable they can never afford to do without you. On top of that, you have strategically managed to place your home where no hurricane will ever hit it because you're just smarter than everyone else...Then as usual, your griping extends about too much taxes for not enough personal benefit and freedom to do things you were previously deprived of, but of course don't articulate what those freedoms are that you didn't get in NY. If I were you I'd go look and see how many, "Lefties", all live up in the panhandle where Hurricane Michael struck and how many rightees took a pass on the federal aid because they didn't want or need any help

I actually met Charlie Crist many years ago when I was doing a job at a home in Sarasota. I didn't even know who he was at the time. While he was waiting for the homeowners to return home, he sat in the kitchen while I was working and we talked while I worked. He was a very personable man, intelligent, well spoken and talked to me, not at me. I enjoyed talking to him. I think back and laugh sometimes because he was there just wearing a tee shirt, shorts and sneakers. Imagine less than a month later I was sitting at home watching the news and suddenly there's the guy I was talking to for over an hour in that kitchen in that house in Sarasota. He wasn't the governor yet, but I think I recall he was something high up in state government and was just officially announcing his candidacy. From that one conversation I can tell you he struck me as a good man. He was a good governor. When the legislature left and ended their session without approving extended jobless benefits during the recession for millions of out of work Floridians he called them back into an emergency session and got the extension passed.

As far as I'm concerned, anyone that makes a political ad that features his toddler child building a wall with building blocks to suggest even their toddler wants to build a wall along our southern border, is a disgusting human being that has no sense of decency...and that wasn't Charlie Crist.

College loans that were taken out based on false claims by the colleges that duped people and put them in debt literally for the rest of their lives...You sound just like someone that thinks if we discovered a cure for that cancer you mention, it shouldn't be offered for free because there are people that had to pay for cancer treatments and it would be an insult to them to someone get it for free... Just another clown that wants everyone to struggle and suffer because they did. Life isn't fair unless everyone else has to go through what you did in life.

Norm Dag hell , have you seen the disastrous turn our country has taken since democrats took the WH? More people have died of covid under democrats leadership and they had vaccines. The economy is so much worse, record high inflation, gas prices, housing crisis, supply chain issues, everything cost almost triple of what it was prior to this administration. Our southern border is a disaster, we are a joke to other countries and we have the weakest most inept president in history. You have to be selectively blind or mentally impaired to think democrats are doing a good job.

Tony Martinez Sleepy Dementia Joe Biden makes Trump look great. Do you pay more for Fossil fuels, groceries, house hold goods, electricity, everything since Biden took office? Yes or No????? It is not rocket science. 1 + 2 = 3. The Democrats are doing the blame game trying to deflect off their failures. But, most people see right through it. Good luck punishing yourself voting for a Democrat. People are getting smart. They are leaving to Democrat party. Yes, Joe Biden killing those American Soldiers in Afghanistan pissed me off. He lost my support. But, go ahead and support the deaths of those great American Soldiers. I IN GOOD CONSCIENCE CAN NOT.

Like in 2020 - people would rather vote like they did for idiot Biden than vote for someone whose personality they didn’t like…Trump may not have had the personality but he was good at his job - we sure weren’t paying the high prices we are now - sure didn’t have an influx of people coming across the border that we have to pay for. The veterans got more help. We could have had pipelines up and going. Companies felt safer with Trump as businesses will most likely leave now. We wouldn’t have left all the military equipment for the enemy. Seriously, are people really this dumb?

Rachel Moore Ok that is bad. On the other discrimination is wrong unless it is reverse discrimination. If you support police you are considered a racists. Yet there are so many more black on black killings that are barely reported. If you have a gun then you want to kill everyone. The point is Democrats are trying to divide on so many levels, and government spend us into oblivion. That is why I say this country is in jeopardy. A house divided by it self can not stand. There need to be things that unite us not divide us. Is Trump toxic yes, but he isn’t the president. Also there are people that are republicans who have their cars destroyed, or people beat up because of beliefs. There are evil people on both sides.

Yeah...I'm not in NY, but at least I can relax in the knowledge that I have great government provided services for my money. You can stay in a state that offers their citizens next to nothing in the way of services that benefit their quality of life. No wonder you are like 25th in education and we are like 5th. Good luck trying to survive if you ever need to on your whole $270 a week in jobless benefits. Good luck with your right to work state where your boss can fire you without any reason whatsoever. Good luck with the damage you suffer from hurricanes and then beg the feds to bail you out from.

10ºThure Wegener lol that is BS I lived in NY for many years they taxed the hell out of you, they restrict your rights and provide nothing of value for it. I make as much as I did in NY I am taxed way less and I receive the same services here that were available there except I have less restrictions and more rights here in the south. I have a career that never needs unemployment nor have I ever received it. I work for my money and don’t need the government to help me or take care of me. The weather is beautiful here, prices less, crime is way less, less homelessness, and I have the ability to make my own choices. I am a stellar employee and I have no issues with the ability to work or keep a position. In fact I get new employment offers regularly. Lol my home has been here over 100 years and never has it been damaged by hurricanes or flooding. Only the left worries about the government bailing them out. The right is responsible for themselves and work hard for what they have and get.
