2ºMike Menkes yes, it's both a play in the media and testing the water at the same time. I've seen the same in many cases in the last 15 years or so.
I'm doubtful about these rappers rapping about actual crimes they committed. In my opinion, it's a mix of crimes they're aware of, witnessed, and fiction to sell music and build popularity.
According to one person responding on my comment, they have wiretap evidence and video evidence. So for me the question became why all about rap lyrics in the media then. This person posted a link to a YouTube video, but when I started listening, I knew it was just commentary with the guy saying this. Of course I then question who the guy is and what is his source. And then what or who is his source's source? Sounds like this prosecutor is trying to rope it all together with informant testimony.
Sometimes playing cards in the media and stringing a case together with both informants and co-conspirator testimony works, and sometimes it doesn't. It didn't work when I was prosecuted for RICO and RICO Conspiracy. It worked on the jury in Paul Bergrin's second trial using RICO, but in the first trial, the US District Judge (Martini) wouldn't allow the government to string it together with RICO and there was a mistrial.
I just hate it when prosecutors have so little actual evidence that they feel the need to do it this way. Obviously I hope this one ends-up with egg on her face for her dirty game as mine did. However, too many co-defendants for that to happen here really.
3ºTaris Pyt Nelson Oh I forgot about rent which is going up six $700 since Biden took office a month. Some people‘s rent has doubled or more than doubled. All under his watch. And why is rent going so high? Because a lot of these landlords lost millions and millions when they couldn’t evict people and people were saying I can’t pay my rent for two years they had to deal with that due to Covid. So nothing in this world is free somebody has to pay for it. So now people are paying for that millions of dollars that these companies lost. And you can thank a liberal for that because they’re the ones that shut everything down for Covid

5ºEffen Scosha are you assuming that the prosecution has wiretaps, surveillance evidence, text messages, and victim testimony? I already stated witness testimony, which I loathe calling informant testimony because it alludes to factual information being stated, so I used 5K1 testimony. We are both referring to confidential witness testimony though.
So you're assuming this, because it's not in the article. I can tell you based on experience that prosecutors always claim to have all of the above but when you get down to the nitty gritty, that list comes up short on everything except the informant testimony in conspiracy and RICO cases more often than not.
