Jennifer Link that’s just not true. Take anything out of moderation an it can go from healthy to killing you. Mental health is health so to say they don’t have tangible benefits just didn’t seem fair. Self image self esteem. The level risk is probably more than manageable for some. Like does one ride a motorcycle etc. it’s all prespective. I work in oil and gas i bet my expsoser to cancer is greater then that of getting implants. But its a exceptable risk for my employment. I would thing a lot of women take thr same view if they think their looks affect their income

Yup this is what happens when you just want to feel proportionate to your body. I got them 16 years ago and I have had one complication since then with one bursting and had to get it redone but besides that, I have been fine. Yes I believe in God and God has made all of us perfect!
My husband and I have been together since we were 16 and he loved me for who I was and the way I was. It was purely my decision to get them and I am very happy with them being 5 7’ and a larger women, I feel more proportionate. It’s not for vanity and I lived many years without them. i’ve had a baby and breast-fed with them and had no issues.
Yes it’s a real life thing I have had 1 friend who has suffered from it and I pray every day that nothing goes in a negative direction for me or anyone else. I also have many friends that have them and have lived perfectly normal lives with no complications.
My heart breaks for the ones that have suffered and I hope they are doing better now.
This is what happens no matter what risk we take. People get surgeries and get implant materials all the time that go incorrectly. It doesn’t matter why you chose to do what you did it’s no one else’s decision and they can judge all they want but that doesn’t change anything. People think by putting a microphone in their hand that we actually listen, some may but most don’t take advice off of a social media platform from individuals they don’t know. If you’re an adult that took on your own decision and knew all the risks involved, then you made an educated decision for you and that’s what matters.
Getting in a car every day there can be a risk, getting eyelashes done, getting breast implants there can be a risk, getting a tattoo there can be a risk, get your hair dyed there can be a risk, getting fake nails there can be a risk, eating McDonald’s there can be a risk, smoking cigarettes there can be a risk. I mean let’s be real we all understand there’s risks involved in anything that we choose to do. Putting anything foreign in our bodies there can be a risk, and I mean medication, drugs, alcohol, implants, so called preventives, and so much more. Prayers to everyone, know the risks always. Do your best on finding supported research and know everything you can to your best ability going into any decision that you make.

Women aren't allowed to age. Too many women buy into it too and then the rest of us are silenced from criticizing and told to accept disfiguring our faces and bodies as a way to make us feel better, prettier, younger, etcetera. I can't imagine having so little self esteem. I also can't imagine having so much income I could spend it on silicone, botox and cosmetic surgery. Not just once either. I need to get a gall bladder out before it kills me and get some teeth before I lose them all. Neither of those things is happening for me.

Rachel Alexandra Do Cardio
Yes, do cardio even as you're bulking now.

Cardio may seem counterproductive while bulking, but on the contrary, it is one of the best ways to stimulate a lacking appetite.

Keeping some form of cardio in your regimen while bulking at least a few times per week is not only essential for cardiovascular health, but it will absolutely help your appetite and allow you to eat more food.

Think about how many calories you actually burn while doing cardio.

Maybe a few hundred calories or so.

It's really not that many when you break down the numbers and realize that the majority of our total daily energy expenditure occurs at rest, however, it does stimulate your metabolism and will boost your appetite more than enough to make up for those few hundred calories you burned off.

So no, cardio during a bulk phase is not counterproductive unless you are doing excessive amounts.

Sheryl Ploy please be kind - there are a multitude of reasons why women get them including mastectomy. Our society makes a woman feel less than if she doesn’t have breasts that look like those in magazines and what society for years has deemed acceptable. Maybe help change the narrative on this. Breasts are fatty tissue and serve the purpose of feeding babies. Thankful today more women are focusing on the healthy look for mind, body and soul but in a society where a “dad bod” is acceptable, maybe the world can just leave women to be whatever shape and size they are too.

Sheryl Ploy yes absolutely! But we also need to allow the space & be kind for all women in all situations because we don’t know everyone’s back story. We have been told lies by manufacturers, plastic surgeons and the FDA. We need to hold all of them accountable. Keep in mind too this is how the tobacco industry started and we all know how that ended up. Medical devices are good until proven otherwise. It’s just completely sad it’s at the expense of a woman’s health. Trust me, you never want to experience Breast Implant Illness so help change the narrative. It takes a village!

Marnie Cook Personally for me it wasn't for looks or anything like that, but because I have the BRCA gene which makes me high risk for breasts cancer. I already have ovarian cancer so the mastectomy was a preventative measure.. the implants were just an extra step that was recommended by the surgeon at the time, without any knowledge or warning.. I rushed into agreement. I suffered for years to the point of suicide until I made the big decision to explant and stay flat. It's been a journey and it still is to truly learn to love myself again. We are more than what we lose, and sometimes we gain so much more.

I find it frust how there's a lot of people and company gaining from our suffering and that's why we need to speak up and advocate for ourselves. We can't control everything but we can educate others of the risks.

It’s not just cancer women should be afraid of with breast implants…
The human body will respond to any foreign object, period. And sometimes the body’s toxic burden is so high, that it can’t process these foreign objects. Thus, illness and cancer occurs.

It’s a personal choice, clearly. But it’s when doctors don’t roll out that black box warning that comes along with breast implants with EVERY patient and are not warning women of ALL potential side effects that is just sad.
I have see BII a lot. You have to be the one that decides if it is worth the risk- just as smokers decide to smoke- be fully informed of what may happen to your body.

Christina Hoang I'm so sorry this happened to these women. 20 years ago Stevie Nicks had hers removed because they were killing her. So many women buy into this idea of beauty and ruin their health and their looks. A 2017 study determined that there is correlation between autoimmune disease and silicone implants. Saline it turns our isn't much better.

Kardashian made millions selling plastic surgery and injections to millions of girls and women. It turns out she suffers from the very diseases that are linked to implants. While she has written an essay about it, she says nothing about it being related to cosmetic surgery. She says it's inherited. She's an influencer and it seems to me, she could at the very least be straight and say it's possible that the flare ups were triggered by the cosmetic surgery.

When I found out that the dark hair colors were correlative with some of the reproductive cancers, I immediately stopped coloring dark and soon stopped coloring altogether. I went au naturale - gray - not very popular in the mid to late 1990s.

10ºCassie & Sarah, I have a lot of compassion for any woman undergoing mastectomy, going thru cancer, or any serious health issue!️
I apologize in advance if this is offensive; I ask only because I really want to understand:

Instead of breast implants, which can potentially be really, extremely, super-problematic, why not just pop a little padding in your bra?? Solves the problem, & you have peace of mind & no risk to your health.
I recently explanted my huge implants, I have little natural tissue - & I have zero regrets!
For me, it’s just not worth risking my health. I always wonder what is the thought process behind women who feel otherwise.
