Kim Roach I actually looked it up….

You might want to check the definition of a welfare state.
By, what I assume, is your definition….. (welfare being bad), CA is #1 in the nation for welfare recipients.

And I do know how taxes work. A true welfare state, actually takes care of its own.

You’re kinda falling into the definition of a person with a very narrow perspective.
I’ve lived in many states, due to work. Democratic run states, hammer those who work the hardest & on top of federal taxes… usually have the highest locality/state taxes.

My opinion…. CA refuses to look close to home. Everything starts at your locality & is passed up the chain. Start finding candidates that truly support their district & isn’t obsessed with rubbing elbows with those already up the chain.
This is what kills me…. You don’t know how I vote & you only assume I’m a “Fox new lover”. Nope. I view MSM as a bane, that wishes to be more relevant than they are. You don’t trust anyone who asks you to blindly trust them…. An individual, a government, or a business; anyone.

Widen your perspective & get out of CA. Not for a week but, a move. Move somewhere that has a complete opposite view of CA… and then reposition your opinion. It will change.

Agrotera Bloodaxe

Welfare state meaning it takes in more taxes from the federal government than it pays in. You know, pretty much every red state.

BTW I don’t live in California. I’m just tired of people like you that think they have a clue.

You think you are special for getting news from unverified sources? You people that get your news from propaganda and conspiracy websites and think you are informed when you are buying into complete lies are frankly just sad.

You are not widening your perspective by trusting jackwagon.net news. You are misinforming yourself. Trusting news sources that are not held to any standard of telling the truth is what people who can’t handle the truth do.

Kim Roach I’ll-informed haters?

• The State of California was awarded over $123 billion in federal grant funding for the 2019-2020 federal fiscal year, $36 billion (42%) more than the previous year.
• California received over 12% of all federal grant funding awarded both domestically and internationally.
• Supplemental federal grant funding to California in response to COVID-19 totaled $16 billion.
• Federal grant funding per capita in California was $3,125, greater than the national average of
$2,842.
• Schools in California received $4.6 billion in federal funding1.
• Local governments in the state (counties, cities, and special districts) received over $19 billion2.
• The State government reported federal expenditures of $143.4 billion in FY20,3 including over
$50 billion in non-budgetary benefits funding unreported in the $123 billion figure.
• State agencies and departments4 applied for 601 federal grants and were awarded 549.

Yes, Kim, that’s your own California government stating that they got more federal tax dollars than any other state, including at a per capital level. That means, essentially, that the other states are paying to subsidise YOU.

How about you do your own research, instead of playing parrot, before you open your hollow maw.

Kim Roach Lol.
Is that why Newsom found a surplus of money…. Right before his fright of losing his office ??
So,
CA had a surplus.
CA can’t house their own (homeless issue).
CA can’t support their grid.
Californians are leaving in droves (due to high taxes & an unfavorable environment).

Sounds like CA doesn’t care about their own. They can’t fund themselves, let alone any other state.

Wouldn’t you consider that usury ?? Wouldn’t that mean that CA residents are being overly used & are suffering for it ?
I mean…. If CA supports “welfare states”, off of its State taxes alone, and is doing the country that much good…. Then why are they always begging for federal funding (you know, tax money from the rest of the country) ?
How does it feel, thinking that CA state taxes, are solely supporting other states ? Which is impossible, by the way.

“CA probably funds whatever welfare state you live in”. LOL. They can’t take care of their own…. Unless you’re a rich elite bobble head. They care about each other & each other only.

If you live there, enjoy the weather !!

Agrotera Bloodaxe You really don’t understand how taxes work, do you? I left California over a decade ago because it got overcrowded by people from welfare states moving there for opportunity, because their states had nothing for them.

California isn’t overcrowded because it’s a crappy place to live. California is not the only place that has homeless. Shoot, if I were homeless I’d go there. Why would I want to be homeless in Wisconsin in freezing weather when I can go camp on the beach in 70 degree weather?

Why is it that you Fox News lovers seem to think that bashing on California for being successful will make you feel better for your ineffective governance that you keep voting in?

No matter where you live, COMING SOON TO A NEIGHBORHOOD NEAR YOU:

1970s to present: "But corporate profits and [manipulated by those corporations] my fear of losing my job are more important than worrying about some obscure idea like climate change! It's not real; and if it is, it's not important. We can't do anything about the climate, anyway."

Today: "The neighborhood down the street is on fire and my house is flooded! The farms can't grow any crops, my A/C can't keep up with the heat, and my groceries cost way too much. Why doesn't anyone [re: everyone else besides me] do something about Climate Change?"

You're a little late on that, folks.

Alan Moskowitz
For now.

"Coming soon to a neighborhood near you," thanks to climate change...

Expect: Farmers & meat producers will be losing crops & livestock across the country, as weather patterns change drastically. Food prices will rise dramatically. Common food items and ingredients will be hard to find.

Your electrical grid will not be able to keep up-- in the summertime and the coldest winter days, especially. Your impressive Pennsylvania snowfalls will be even higher, when they eventually do fall at all.

Our distribution logistics-- already messed up by the pandemic, causing supply chain issues-- will also be severely impacted. Expect higher prices all around.

You've been warned.

But, hey... Take a lead from my generation: Don't worry about climate change. That will be a problem for your grandkids. ... Right?

Barrack Lee
An IMPENDING flood, which is made WORSE by the drought.

Without strong plant life to hold the soil in place, you can expect erosion-- in areas full of hills and mountainsides. The topsoil in that part of the country also does not react the same to water as topsoil in the midweat does. Because their ecosystem is meant for very little rain and very infrequently, the soil absorbs only so much water, then it's oversaturated. The man-made drainage systems are also not designed for large quantities of water at one time.

Don't mock what you don't understand. That's a great way to look like a fool.

10ºThe planet is changing and we know pretty much why! Small nations react to it better because it affects them the most! The larger countries that create most of it were insulated from the worst results for a time but now even that is changing! Humans in the larger countries were too political and lagged behind in formulating the change we need to survive the long game! Their leaders are not that bright or just too lazy and many are personally selfish and do not realize anything that is not in their backyard! But the damage is increasing!!! Droughts and flooding continue! We are sunk because of the ignorance of our leaders!!!! These systems will only get worse! An example of stupidity is the seaside hotels being put up on our eastern coast when we know the water level is rising due to melting glacial ice!
