Although I am not a WNBA fan, I have been to a game and will atest it was a very boring 3 hours of my life wasted, I will say they are professional players and are good for there sport. But to think for 1 second that they could compete with NBA players for a roster spot or a contract worth the likes of a 7th or 8th man on a NBA team is nonsense. Lets keep it real:NBA players are way faster, stronger, more athletic, would dominate on both sides of the ball. All this would do is cause an uproar in the fanbase, force NBA to make special rules, slow the game, and humiliate the WNBA players trying to compete. Thats not fair to the women and would disencourage younger women from trying to achieve there dreams of wnba play. Even if the wnba is somewhat of a joke and a financial failure, that is there league and there chance to shine. Dont bring that nonsense into the NBA and ruin that wonderfull entertainment.
I will say this tho...... I do hope someday that a woman has everything it takes to play alongside men in the NBA and actually play instead of just being a barrier breaker. The likely hood is very small (just look at the 100s of men who just dont make the cut to make a roster).
